👀 The "non-runner" who won at the Cheltenham Festival! Binocular lands the 2010 Champion Hurdle

I was there this day in 2010 . I'd backed Binocular all through the season , £20 - £50 here and there and had about 15 bet slips with prices ranging from 6/1 dowm to 2/1 approaching Xmas. When he was " declared " a non runner his price went out to 7/1 , backed him more and on the day i stuck another £100 @ 8/1 on the course on the day . I was positioned at the final flight - when Mcoy jumped the last " jet propelled " I shouted so much my balls dropped off LOL . What a day and what a punt !!

No such thing as a a bad champion hurdle in my opinion. My fav race of the year. Can’t all be night nurse ,sea pigeon .istabraq but binocular pretty good as

​@gerrymcguire7382 Totally agree .They have to be quality horses to even qualify for the Champion Hurdle.Waa a bit iffy though him being backed at 999/1 then winning so easily. I do really rate Nicky Henderson as a trainer but can't help thinking he landed a touch here.
