Obviously its an unbelievable ride but the truth is that McCoy done loads of these throughout his career. He gave it his all on a monday afternoon at plumpton in the mud, same as he did at the Cheltenham festival

Don’t be daft it was just suited to him and the way he rides . He presents horses terribly at fences . Wichita was always gonna run like that as was brave Inca and synchronised . If you think that was one of the best rides at the festival you are mistaken . Some seriously good rides at the festival include Vautour , Klassical dream , cullotty on 3 best mate wins . McCoys win on uxizandre was his best festival ride ever ❤

Totally agree. Watched this umpteenth times. This is a festival race where one mistake will usually blow your chances. Wichita never travelled , hit 5 maybe 6 fences and still the greatest jockey ever never gave up. Sheer brilliance

The Greatest jockey of Alltime IRISHMAN A P MCCOY.🇮🇪 Well Never see his like again as long as there's racing. Townsend🇮🇪 will go down as the 2nd best jockey of Alltime when all said and down but MCoy was winning on moderated horses all his life that Nobody could win on.

Great ride, the sheer belief and strength from AP is remarkable, the mistakes the horse made being shuffled back and to galvanize the horse in a competitive race is quality, i remember i was really sad though when a month later the horse fell at the 1st in ireland and died R,I.P

Beggars belief. Nearly fell, at least two more poor jumps, and being scrubbed from halfway. Relentless use of the whip was not good to see, but punters and all connections wouldn’t care. Only AP could have got a horse up like that.
