Love this piece. It's simplicity is stunning for hiding the beautiful complexity, if that makes sense. It's just so thoroughly satisfying to listen to, and draws you on and on all the way through.

That was beautiful Bob. You should serve those noodles in your restaurant. Seriously, though, your songs are wonderful with a combination of simplicity and complexity that is a joy to hear; thanks for making my day

The more I listen to this the more I just keep liking it!! It has that 60's Rock n Roll vibe to it, if that makes sense?! Just one great tune, Bob!!!

Love the emotion, so many guys who can play like this are just way too technical, Beautiful, possible to die tomorrow and leave this as a legacy!

Yes. It's the same Lumix that we shot the footage for Dune with. Unfortunately, the Lumix has to be "retired". Sand was blown into it and jammed the zoom and shutter mechanism whilst shooting Dune at the Great Sandhills. Darn good little point and shoot camera.

Fantastic! And what a pleasure to watch, no cuts, just solid musicianship from beginning to end. So where'd you shoot this one Bob?

I think the name Bob Evans is coming back to me,cause of my dad.

Thanks everyone for your comments so far. Rob, this was recorded deep within the bowels of the world headquarters of Acoustic Tonic Music (aka my basement).

sounds great! one thing though how did you practice playing the bass note 8ths consistently whilst doing a melody over the top? what kind of practice would you have to do to get used to that?
@AcousticTonic11 жыл бұрын
You're right. It's a little trickier than you think it should be. But the process is the same as when you're learning to do an alternating bass with the thumb - lot's of repetition until the thumb can go on automatic pilot. As always, start slow and speed up as the muscle memory starts to kick in. One exercise to get started is to play quarter note bass notes and play a simple tune where the melody notes fall on the beat , like Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, over top of it. Once you are comfortable with lining up the melody and bass, double up the bass notes by playing them as eighth notes but keep the melody the same. Once you can do that comfortably move on to a tune where the melody is slightly more syncopated. And voila! You're playing the Noodle Kitchen. :-) Hope this helps.
