Do you think Norm felt kind of stupid doing the whole sitcom thing? His commitment to the scenes is pretty much zilch, and especially in scenes like this with Dave, where Norm almost seems to not want to be seen to be trying too hard.

@@theshapeexists Norm really could 'act' when he was just in character as 'Norm MacDonald' on his podcast, like when he led Fred Stoller down the Albert Fish path. Any time he hit you with an unexpected punchline, it was because he'd acted a certain way to throw us off. All comedic delivery is acting, really. He's also a pretty good voice actor. But yeah, otherwise, he's more of a Jerry than Jerry was.

Never saw the show before. Didn't even know it existed. It's just a faint memory that it might have existed. Seems pretty funny though. Must have not ran very long, maybe one or two seasons? Norm Macdonald, weird and freaking funny though.

Super Dave was a character that caught on well for Bob Einstein. He was on Letterman a lot back in the day as the character Super Dave. Other than playing Super Dave, I remember him most from Arrested Development. He played the surrogate for George Sr.
