For 20 years, after I got saved at 18 years old, I was tortured and lived in condemnation from the enemy because I didn't realize that I had two natures at war within me. I pretty much lived in my feelings instead of trusting and believing in God's word. I didn't realize how fickle my feelings were. Sometimes, I felt "good" and "saved," but must of the time I felt "unsaved" and condemned. MANY times I would ask the Lord to "Please forgive me again and come into my heart and save me again." True story--One day I felt so condemned and forsaken by the Lord--I cried out to the Lord, and said: "Lord...I want to be a Norman Christian instead of a Subnormal Christian. Lord--Somewhere on the Earth, there has to be someone, people who knows the truth." I had kept these feelings and hardships to myself. My mother owned a Christian Book Store, and about an hour later I was there and noticed a book titled: "The Normal Christian Life." The words, and experiences of brother Watchman Nee, along with the Lord opening my eyes, SET ME Free. I could go on for several pages...Hallelujah...What LIGHT. I discovered that I am a new man, a new creation in Christ, although I still have the "Old man" within me too. The two natures war against each other. Whatever "man", the New Man or the Old Man that gets fed, wins. If I eat, drink and breathe God's word, and eat from the Tree of Life, I'll slowly over the course of my life, am transformed into the Image of God's son Jesus Christ, and it will no longer be I who live but Christ who lives within me. On the other hand, if I continue to eat and live from the Tree of the Knowledge (The Tree of Death), the World, I will continue to be condemned, depressed, be full of anxiety, be unsure of my salvation and have no joy in or of the Lord. I wish that when I was 18, some Christian would have given me this book as a help instead of feeding me the Tree of Death by telling me Christians "can't shop on Sunday at a store, restaurant, or gas station, you have to wear a suit and tie to "church", Christians can't go to movies or wear a watch because it's jewelry, you must speak in tongues, you can't speak in tongues, you have to read at least 10 chapters of the Bible every day, If I would have trusted in the Lord, I would not have needed to get glasses, etc, etc, etc. I remember a young 18 year old sister that was going through a similar experience. One day she said to me: "Bill...If it wasn't for Christians, there'd be more Christians; how pitiful. What the Lord desired for me and all new Christians was that those who had been saved and knew the Lord in a NORMAL way would "FIRSTLY" direct me to the FATHER and show me how to Love Him. If I'm loving the Father, I will "NORMALLY" grow. My favorite verses in the Bible are from Romans chapter 8: "There is now then no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus has freed me from the law of sin and of death." Also, my favorite book in the Bible is First John...Thank you Lord for First John. This is where I learned about "the children, young men and the fathers." "By loving the Father the children will NORMALLY grow." Thank you Lord for Your word, the Bible and brother Nee's and Lee's booklets. One of the most important things that I learned and experienced from their guidance was to "Trust in the Lord, His word, and the blood of Jesus" and the value God places on the blood instead of my feelings. God's word is The Sure Thing--It is Unchanging, whereas my feelings change many times a day based on what I see and do, etc. Oh Lord Jesus, capture us with Your beauty. Amen.

watchman nees writings have greatly shaped my views in all areas of my christian life! He was greatly annointed and gifted beyond imagination. He laid his life down for the kingdom as he is presently rewarde in heaven we on earth continue to be blessed by the example, the words of wisdom,and the teaching he has left behind. Amén brother ! We do not grow together separately like the trees in a forest, BUT we grow together ORGANICALLY like the members of a person’s physical body. A particular member of a person’s body organically grows together WITH all the other members . In like manner, we, as members of the Body of Christ ( Eph. 5:30), are growing with the growth of God ( Col. 2: 19 ). !

The prosperity gospel teaches that if you have faith you will have good health and financial success. The flip side of that is many who follow this misguided doctrine tend to look down on the lame, sick and poor. Is this the message of Christ?
