The North Pennines - Rookhope and Bolt's Law

A hike starting off in the idyllic village of Rookhope, exploring the area and it's history, before leaving the area and heading to Bolt's Law a local summit with stunning views of the surround Pennine landscape. Return is via a pleasant walk along some of the route of the Weatherhill and Rookhope Railway.

It's a nice 10 mile walk from Allendale to Blanchland over the fell. And you can get a lovely Sunday lunch at the Lord Crew😋👌

yes duncan,me and my brother have hiked bolts law many times and yes blanchland is definetley worth a visit.has a very nice tea room in the centre of blanchland.like your video very much.

Got to agree with your comment on Blanchland, it is really worth a visit as it is so peaceful and relaxed, have yet to try the tearooms though but one day soon I hope to visit them.

Cheers mate, although I do often carry a flask you cannot beat a freshly made cuppa, I often pass through Westgate on my way to Wearhead, it is cracking up there, I may take you up on that offer someday 😉
