Every time I see Spike Murray’s face I feel sick. This ‘man’ gave the order for my family to leave the area we were born and raised in, 24 hours to get out or be my stepfather would’ve been shot. Almost costing my mother her life. My mother wasn’t the same after this, she finally succeeded in killing herself. This all because my brother was a little wayward. Sure, my brother shouldn’t have been that way. My parents done all they could to tame him. Even going as far as sending him away to a young offenders centre. My mother even gave up parental responsibility to him. Even today, i as a grown woman, wouldn’t be allowed to return to the area where I was born and raised in. This ‘man’ drove us to “Loyalist areas,” where again we were asked to leave. Then again I was intimidated as an adult out of a “Loyalist area.” So, this ‘man’ sent us on a path of no return, I will never forgive him for it. Oh how, I would love to live and die in birthplace, yet to this day I wouldn’t be allowed, simply because of my brother whom I have no love for and no relationship with. Alas, we weren’t the only family, these ‘people’ ordered many families out of their homes, simply because of wayward children/teens. The whole family is labelled bad because the actions of one or two members. So, the moral to this story is, they cannot push people out of their homes due to wayward children/families. It wasn’t his right.
