The Northman Film Set - Larne, Northern Ireland

One of the sets of the upcoming movie "The Northman" staring Alexander Skarsgård, Nicole Kidman, Bill Skarsgård, Willem Dafoe, and Anya Taylor-Joy.
The set of a viking Village is located outside the village of Cairncastle in Northern Ireland. Production had stopped due to the ongoing covid 19 pandemic.

They were a week from production. Then the lockdown began. A complete kick in the balls for eggers, still really excited for the film!

@@Ryaninsanity yeah the road was closed around that set last week so they must be filming. There's another viking set along the north coast and the roads are all closed there too.

i live in portglenone in country antrim and about two weeks ago there was a bunch of viking ships in the river ban

Very confusing saw it in the trailer,but it looks like gleniff valley in county sligo in the republic which was also a location and being from that area i thought it was gleniff.The landscape of antrim and counties of sligo and leitrim are so similar despite being so far apart

End of 2021. They need more time for postproduction etc. Shooting will take a few weeks.
