To this day, I am still amazed that Alien Isolation was THIS good. The art style was absolutely spot on in this game, aswell as the audio design and the music. And then the game was 14-16h long with a giant, highly detailed map to explore! Its so sad that it didnt sell good and we will likely never see a sequel...

And made by a company that is only known for it's fairly mediocre war games. It's bizarre just how good it is. Take a look at their back log - they've done nothing but churn out Total War and Halo Wars sequals for the last 20 years and out of nowhere, Alien Isolation!
@xXYannuschXx2 жыл бұрын
@@kirishima638 This is what surprised me aswell, Alien Isolation felt like it came from a completely different company! From what I could gather, they even made a full AAA engine JUST for this game! In-house game engines are usually from larger companies and often used for more than a single game, especially these days, due to the development costs to make a AAA engine (due to the graphical requirements). I am still baffled that Sega gave the dev team SO many resources; they even paid to get full access to ALL Alien 1 production material, including the light setups, audio samples, etc (most sounds and even songs are from the ORIGINAL material for A1). They didnt make any mistakes doing their first FPS game and it feels not a single bit clunky. This game will forever be a miracle in the gaming world.

I regard Alien Isolation as a love letter to fans. I especially liked the fact that they moved away from the James Cameron movie. It's a fine movie but I always preferred 1 and 3. Less crowd pleasing, less popcorn thrill ride, less clichés and more mystery and horror. You did a fine job here! And the video shows that jump scares are cheap tools. It's the environment and atmosphere that truly matter. The Nostromo as such already feels so inhospitable, most of the areas are places that I wouldn't set foot in in the first place. Just the thought of being trapped on that dump of darkness with the perfect organism makes me want to run to the EEV. Just great great great set design, lighting and innovation. And last but not least the fine horror recipe by Ridley Scott who gave the creature a meager 6 minutes of screen time: "It's not what you see. It's what you think you saw. Trust me, your imagination is far more horrific than anything I can put on film."

As a massive nerd of both movies I have come to a conclusion that 2001 has some rare and sublime grandiose elements to it which have never been surpassed. The Alien movie is however excelling in its own niche horror-subgenre of the sci fi universe. With a unique emphasis on character development and a high level finesse in terms of creating a contrast rich experience as a movie it stands on its own unrivaled - the chest burster scene was one of many iconic scenes.

My idea for an Alien5 movie is as follows: It takes place after alien4 and takes places on an earth in ruins. TheRipleyClone has transformed into an entity that is producing eggs,and a lot of humans are affected,and a war breaks out.They have to use a nuke on the swarms of xenomorphs and decidedes to travel to the planet where they think the xenomorphs orginate from.There they find there are multiple forms of xenomorphs.They manages to form a clone of a xenomorph that is able to communicate with the the help of a microship surgerized into its brain. After this a peace is established. But as allways Weyland-Yutani has spies that want the xenomorph for their biological weapon program. And it is a surprice who the spy is. And that Weyland-Yutami has a lab on a spacestation not far from the xenomorph planet. Where they finds forms of xenomorphs that noone has seen before. And that's makes a cliffhanger for a possible Alien6 movie ?

But sadly the game is not having another sequel is super annoying to me that the game journalist/reviewer from IGNorance give it a slap in your face with critical low score and up till now I am still left broken hearted for not having a masterpiece continuation of that sci fi horror BEST atmosphere,sound design,Ai,jumpscare and the alien lore history of uncanny valley. TO THAT PERSON WHO GIVE THAT SCORE FROM IGN YOU DID A GOOD JOB for destroying a quality AAA game. Keep it up 👍🏼😒

Please build a real Nostromos with accompanying oil refinery It can be done I got a plan Escape from Babylon Nostromos- The untold memories of Muther . I’ll write the book ,sell it and invest the money in the real world design and tech plans. The earth is like a capacitor So then to float between the poles is theoretically possible. Weight is not an issue Only one ion can change the supposed gravitational pull in either direction. We already have oil refineries, one can be saved in a platform- like an off shore oil rig - or a few connected We have nuclear power plants - use two or 4 reactors to conversion of potassium oxide and H20. I’m not saying light speed z, or even deep space travel I’m thinking about 100,000 ft high should be att adequate for going beyond Antarctica. Maybe someone with proper cultural heritage can get the go fund me - to work And another Alfa can be the front Only integrity is holding back development on a real working Nostromos.
