So proud of this damn team, and to be a Buckeye! The joy I felt today with my family was special and something I'll always remember fondly. Sometimes i think we care too much, buckeye football is nearly religious to us, we named our son Archie Hayes after this team. The letdown Nov.30 it hurt so much.. but moments like this remind me why we love this state and this team so much. #Gobucks

Keep it going Bucks‼️I like the ‘more work to be done’ attitude - gotta keep this aggressive edge - Texas is actually probably more of a ‘matchup game’ as they have a loaded roster and excellent DB’s that will challenge the passing success of late by Bucks arguably more than any team in Country

Oregon was averaging 450 yards of offense and 34 pts per game. This defense held them to 266 (-26 rushing) and 21 pts. 8 sacks. We talk about "real defenses stop real offenses" a lot. But this defense have now limited one of the best offenses in the entire country. 2 more to go.

I wonder if in the cooper era with all those Ohio st teams that season got ended because of Michigan if they could have ever had runs like day is having now if there was a playoff system. Interesting what ifs to think about in the offseason. Same can be said for some urban Meyer teams with the upset losses they had that derailed the season

How much can we attribute the much better O-line play with O-line coaching .. or scheme? Because the O-line played horribly vs UM, when the game plan was terrible. And then played great vs Tenn and UO, when the game plans were innovative. So we're just supposed to believe Frye's coaching got much better in the past three weeks? Not trying to pick on the guy., but he also doesn't deserve a pass if what's truly helping his O-line is Chip Kelly's play-calling. Btw, Kelly also had the #4 rushing attack when he was HC at UCLA.
@alphapapa53834 күн бұрын
"also doesn't deserve a pass if what's helping his oline is Chip..." well that would prove that the problems were schematic/play call all along then. The Game was 100% play calling. The cheaters have 2 first round D linemen and we ran right at them all game long. Imo this is looking like, now that they are being utilized correctly, we are seeing how good of a job Frye is doing as a coach.
@aaronbux14 күн бұрын
@@alphapapa5383 I agree the play-calling was the issue with past sluggishness. But that also had to do with a quicker pass attack, getting the WR and RB's in space, etc. But it was Chip Kelly who had the #4 rushing O in college ball at UCLA .. without Justin Frye as O-line coach. Frye does not now deserve a pass for his recruiting failures, even if a more experienced player or two has been developed well (which many other O-line coaches could do). And to the contrary, now deserve praise. Bottom line is .. the vastly improved O-line play is Chip Kelly's doing .. not Justin Frye's.

Hey some time discuss.... compare ... contrast the First half Offense versus the second half offense... hunkered down at just the right time? They sort of quit too soon? Or Oregon's defense came to life? I am not unhappy... I am just wondering what you professional analyst think .... how you compare the 2 halves.

Not as bad as the Texas game, Arizona State got the worst call against them of the year by a Big 10 officiating crew. If that wasn’t a targeting call I have never seen one. Terrible no call.
