@@aaronsound there were a lot of great games this year's sage expo! My favorites are: chaos dynasty honey (a Honey the cat platforms with Saturn like graphics), Sonic riders x, isekai Mario (a weird but fun 3d platforms that combines Mario with anime), Rayman dream's boundry (2d Rayman fan game with nice music and retro asthetics), Sonic classic 2 (a genesis styled fan game with playable Fang, Sonic, Tails and Knuckles and nice spritework), Sonic rush 3d and Sonic encore. Out of the indie games, I enjoyed Advent Neon (a 2d platformer with some combat and nice spritework), Castle on the coast (an indie 3d platformer with a cute giraffe as the main character, it released recently on steam by the way), Brok the investigator (point and click detective game with nice art and entertaining story. The demo was long as well. I played it for about an hour), Buknight order of the golden quest (this one was at other sage expos before but It's still fun and has some new content added in like the boss battles for example.), chessplosion (a surprisingly fun puzzle game that you don't have to know how to play chess in order to enjoy it), Eversleep lunistice gaiden ( a ps1 styled 3d platformer. It's pretty fun and I'm looking forward for the steam release), Fech the ferret (another nice 3d platformer. It can get a little confusing at times though), go! Go! Pogogirl (a 2d Mario like indie game where you play as a girl on a pogo. Simple but fun), prototype N (2d mega man inspired game. I had fun playing it and the visuals and soundtrack are good as well), toree 3d (retro fast paced 3d platformer with n64 graphics. Pretty fun and the full version also released on steam.), the great frebbventure ( a 2d platformer with some really detailed spritework, nice music, wacky characters and nice story. The demo was lengthy as well. I spent a few hours on it.), Frogun (ps1 styled 3d platformer where you use a frog shaped gun to grab platforms and beat enemies), Robots and things (a Mario inspired 3d platformer. While unoriginal, it's pretty fun and the demo has a lot of content as well. You also can customise the robot which is pretty neat) and Havoc fox (a freedom planet inspired 2d playformer. It was at the last year's sage expo as well).

Of course :); whether or not filling the game in with badniks would be a direction the programmer wants to go in, a few more of these references would be welcome (esp. refs to other Sonic continuities). He could, for example, add a couple of islands in the "Skylands", like Sonic's island, as a ref to OVA; at the very least, if he adds characters to interact with one would be the "Old Man Owl" character. I want to see more of him, and Longclaw (movie), ESP. together in a romantic relationship...

Really, "Shadow the Hedgehog" *should've been a game about Fang the Sniper; it would make FAR more sense in *many* ways - 1) Shadow *already* went through character development in the previous games; he matured into a better hero 2) Shadow *shouldn't need* guns; guns fit better with Fang, but Shadow knows martial arts and can use a single emerald to do all sorts of things 3) Fang needed to be developed more as a character, rather than to be tossed aside 4) The gunplay i DEFINATELY Fang's forte, and the sidemissions give you a chance to develop Fang's character however you want (dispite knowing that canon dictates he's a cowardly villian NOT affiliated with Dr. Eggman) 5) ??? Other than that, I am in agreement; we NEED a few niche games here and there for lesser characters; it give us a chance to develop them into richer, more dynamic characters. Big nneded this for a LONG time...

I'd love to see you continue this game. It was released during SAGE, an online gaming expo run by a Sonic fan-site. The assumption was that most people would already be huge Sonic fans, and when they realized the open-world nature of the game and just about all of their favorite locations being remade, they'd go exploring to find their favorite places. They'd stumble on the real point of the game rather quickly by touring landmarks from previous games. So, to try and give you advice without spoiling much, a good place to start making real progress would be to explore Little Planet, the "mound" that you mentioned when looking at the map for the first time. It would be nice if you did at least one follow-up video where you went there and saw what the actual intention of the game is supposed to be. The world's big enough that you're never going to find Froggy through blind wandering. (And yes, finding Froggy is technically the goal of the game) Oh yeah, some of the power-ups you can find are more durable fishing rods like the one you already found, and better bait that lets you catch larger fish. So, you had the right idea on fishing, but your bait sucks and you're not going to catch anything with your starting gear.

I just suggested something like this in a reply to another person; if the "Little Planet" idea here is implemented, I would like him to also use the island Sonic lives on from OVA, and the Old Man Owl character to interact with. And YES, Big should be in a romantic relationship with Honey, just as Old Man Owl is with Longclaw (movie character).

This is about the "Big's Big World" fan-game, Little Planet is an included location in said game that was shown on the map, and I was advising him to go there to pick up an item. While this game feature locations throughout all of the different Sonic games, I'm pretty damned sure there weren't any movie locations when I played it.

I know the time has passed for more Big's Big Adventure, but there is actually a hint system to find Froggy. One particular Chaos Emerald in a highly conspicuous location shows you a zoomed in video of Froggy. Collecting all of the Emeralds gives other rewards. This game is jank, but it's shockingly compelling in spite of it. It's the exact kind of shitpost you want.
