I mean, the story is literally told here, it tried to take Swain's secrets but Swain realized, saw through the demon, learned how to wield it, and took it by force through a ritual. This was not a pact, far from it, Swain made the demon his bitch, now he is going to use it to do the same thing to the Black Rose, Noxus, and the lands he conquers, all in the name of Noxus, and in preparation for whatever darkness he knows is coming.

I mean, for now, I do believe that the Void is going to be the final boss of the lore, making everyone gather together to stop it, because if they don't, there will not have anything to fight for. Even Morderkaiser would have interest in stoping the Void, since he still needs an existence to rule at. However, Aatrox and the other Darkin would probably join the Void. Aatrox himself states that he would embrace the Void now if he had the chance. Morderkaiser, at the other hand, is THE threat to Noxus. They build the capital around his beloved Bastion, and he's probably mad at them, mostly at LeBlanc. The Black Rose's existence is not only to rule Noxus, but also to keep Morderkaiser away, and LeBlanc knows that Swain can be an good asset to it, that's why the Pale Woman is a member of the Trifarix. But, yeah, it's either the Void

There is no way to determine the 5 strongest champs, all we know is that Aurelion Sol is top dog in terms of lore cause its a fucking space dragon. As for most IMPORTANT champions though? There are 4 known demons actually, there is Tahm Kench, Nocturne, Evelynn, and Swain's demon of secrets. And no, immortals would be locked in an endless battle, one side would have to get an advantage over the other, which could mean either of them enlisting the use or help of something as major as Aurelion Sol, the world runes, or the Void. The only way they MIGHT win is if Tahm Kench's mouth and stomach really is an inescapable abyss, in which case they might be able to neutralize the Darkin and let Tahm swallow the weapons while they are not in use by a host. That MIGHT work but we do not know.
