In 21 games before Jamal injury, the nuggets were 17-4 with jokic dropping 26-11-9 on 58/48/84 splits, Jamal with 22-4-5 on 48/45/96 and mpj with 20-9-1 on 59/51/73, now we have kcp who is also a 40% from 3 guy, and AG moving from 2nd option to 4th if not 5th. As for defense, Jamal was 5th in dpoy rankings the week before his injury for his perimeter defense, kcp is a great defender, mpj is a liability, but was making good improvements at the end of the 21 season but was set back by his back, so we'll have to see there, AG is amazing at guarding bigger wings and now he doesn't have to guard ja, steph, and other small quick guards so he'll shine more and jokic is a shockingly good defender and seems to have gotten better over the summer from what we saw in euro basket. As for the bench, historically, bones has made his biggest leaps in his 2nd years and from what we've seen and heard, this doesn't seem to be an exception, he has a great motor and has gained some weight and experience that should help quite a bit with his defense and offense, Bruce brown is the goat 6'4 center, and seems to be taking the ball up the court pretty often, great playmaker and defender and can shoot over 40% from 3, either Davon Reed or Christian Braun will be good defenders, Uncle Jeff is getting older and might be a little slower on D, but his veteran leadership on the court is invaluable and he's a perfect lob threat, and zeke nnaji gained 10 pounds of muscle, is a great shooter and has a motor to match if not surpass bones. This is without a doubt the best nuggets team ever assembled and I'm extremely hyped

Zions in peak condition and might be even better playing defense and an evolving playmaker and player in general. JV is the first big that Zions played with that can hit perimeter shots as well. Scary hours

Why Jordan over Boogie? Locker room. Boogie was fighting with a teammate mid game in the playoffs and the FO prob didn’t like that. Also the constant techs and whining on the court weighs on you. deandre is ass but he brings good off court energy according to media and peers

I'm a sixers fan but my best friend is a nuggets fan. I told him if Murray and MPJ are healthy, they are pick to come out the west. They are loaded. The biggest slept on moved was getting KCP and Bruce Brown. Nobody is talking about it but those type of moves take your team over the top. Hes also a fantastic cutter and a great corner three point shooter. I feel my sixers, if Harden can return to form and Embid can stay healthy in the playoffs, I believe we gonna have a flashback to the old skool finals with the battle of the Big Men. Nuggets vs Sixers. Philly in 7 hopefully. 💯

Cousins wasn't resigned because he felt like he can still be a starter and he was out of Nuggets price range. DJ, while I do agree his play has fallen off a cliff, is a great team guy, a great locker room presence. He won't play much, hopefully, because if he ends up playing much time it means something went wrong with Jokic and the Nuggets are screwed anyways.

I dont think thats the case with denver. This is perfect team for jokic and they will be contenders if they are healthy. Thats their biggest concern. If they underperform this season you will see everyone trying to trade every player except jokic. Last 2 seasons they were unhealthy so we will see it

Now here's where you were wrong: MPJ shot 55% FG / 44% 3PT. the entire list of players in NBA HISTORY to shoot 55/44: MICHAEL PORTER JR. That's it. Thats the list. Not Steph, not Lebron, not Kobe, not Jordan. MPJ is the one and only. Another thing you missed: MPJ had the 2nd most efficient season of atleast 19PPG in NBA history, behind only Wilt Chamberlain. The difference: While Chamberlain was one of the most prolific post scorers ever, MPJ shot 89% of his shots from 7 feet OUT, meaning jumpers.

His defense is elite when he doesn't play offense much. He's the dude they got guarding LeBron ans Luka type of players why they got him. He will prove way more useful next season now he doesn't have to be the 2nd or 3rd option. Him as the 5th option is what he needs. His playmaking/cuts and defense is all he needs.
