Most people think of the long straight roads out here, and you’re not wrong, but there is so much more to see.
The towering limestone cliffs, rugged coastline and free camping on cliffs are all part of the Nullarbor experience.
From Pink Lakes, giant windmills and a free camp that we feel is better than Bunda cliffs. The scenery this remote road has to offer certainly makes the Nullarbor one of our favourite drives.

Back in the 1960s, the road crossing the Nullarbor was dirt. Can you imagine driving it then?

It would have been an incredible journey back then! A lot more remote then what it is now that's for sure.

Great video, we crossed the Nullarbor twice and both times had a head wind.

Certainly makes a difference having a head wind across there! How much of a difference to your fuel economy do you think it made? We found it was around 5L per 100km difference. But that was only at around 30kmh head wind.

I live in Wyoming and there are lots of empty lonely roads here, plus in Kansas, and Utah. But the Nullarbor, just fascinates me. But I am a bicycle rider, since I cannot drive. Not sure I could carry enough food or water to do said road. So mind if I ride with you? ;)

Wyoming looks like an incredible place to live, such big open areas to explore! I'm sure plenty of people have crossed the Nullarbor on bike before, but I'd guess they would have a support crew with them. We could be your support crew and make sure you make it all the way across!

🤣🤣😂😂 We paid for the shirt two years ago with our own money haha. The station is roughly 2500kms north of Nullarbor. I just like the shirt and it's comfy :D

We would say anytime between Autumn to Spring because in Summer it could get very hot in temperature. It also depends on where you want to go after crossing the Nullarbor or if that is your destination.

Unfortunately we don’t have an ensuite van, so we have a portable chemical toilet that we use. I can’t remember the brand of it but I can find out if you want 👌

You are filming yourselves more than anything else. You did have some landscape shots but they were not the feature. This will make for good memories for yourselves and close loved ones but no one else. Why not just save it for private home videos?

I’m quite enjoying the face to face things, pretty good information for those looking to take the leap :). It’s nice having some scenery shots in there, but that’s what every man and his lap dog does. Keep it up!

I thought it was going to be a video showing more of the crossing of the Nullarbor rather than an unrehearsed, amateurish narrative that doesn't really flow between the two of you; it came across as a bit fake. There was no scenery to speak of; seeing some of the road would have given viewers more of an idea of what it was like. It might be an idea to shoot the video and do a scripted voice-over rather than live comments, The videography was pretty good. I hope you take my comments as constructive and not intended to put you down in any way. The only way you will improve something is if someone offers constructive criticism. Good luck with your travels and future videos.
