18:54 Reznov first appeared in World at War (2009) so that's why the game was recommend alongside the Black Ops series even though it's not titled Black Ops. World at War is also just an amazing game that is extremely dark and brutal, much more than any Call of Duty game before or after it including Black Ops. i'd argue it's one of the few Call of Duty games that truly showcased the horrors of war and not to mention the creepy music as well that is engrained into our minds. Reznov is amazing and Black Ops works as an amazing introduction to the character regardless if you've played WAW.

@sharkbyte1565 It's a fact that not many people know and they should. Russia sacrificed more than ANYBODY and they were the reason Hitler was defeated despite what they say in the west. Everyone turned their back on Russia afterwards which was a great betrayal. The real number was closer to 26 million. I doubt most people can fathom what 26 million dead bodies looks like.

Fun Facts: Rezvov is played by Gary Oldman, who was Commissioner Gordon in the Dark Knight movie trilogy. Mason is played by Sam Worthington, who was the lead in the first Avatar movie. (and maybe the others, I havent seen them)

8:50 Alex Mason is literally my favorite cod character so obviously when i was a kid i researched more about the voice actor, Sam Worthington Is an Australian voice acting an American character. hints to the accent. and fun fact for anyone who has seen the movie hacksaw ridge, Sam Worthington plays Capt. Glover. he does an American accent too there and my whole time watching that movie i was so confused as to why his voice was so damn familiar😂

I grew up on the og call of duty campaigns. This one in particular is my favorite, and arguably the best. The story, the characters, and the way everything is setup through the editing on Mason's broken mind. Love that you did this. Reznov is first introduced in the 2008 World at War campaing, another good one to consider. I would say that the best campaigns to get into after this one would be the old modern warfare campaigns 2007-2011

47:37 Im no medical professional but you COULD die (keyword COULD) from being stabbed in the eye IF the object pierces the brain. I believe it would be safe to say that in Weaver’s case, the object did not pierce his brain. People have survived some pretty mind blowing situations being blown up, being shot several times, being shot in the head, etc.

So, CoD World at War was the game before this one. It takes place in WW2. Reznov and Dimitri were veterans in the Red Army and survived WW2. So seeing where they end up at the height of the Cold War is even more deep when you incorporate all they went through together. You also understand Reznov’s motives much more.

The entire Xbox 360 era run of COD is a masterpiece. Zero failures. Modern Warfare 1-3, World At War, Black Ops 1 & 2. All of those campaigns must be played. I cannot recommend them enough.
