Exquisite. Thank you thank you. As a musician I also really enjoyed seeing the orchestra on stage. I know that isn't always done, but it really made the collaboration required for great ballet visible. And Joy, you are incredible. I'm so glad you had this wonderful setting.

LOL, she never 'had anything to lose', except her parents money that is i.e. the cost of her Bolshoi training. Mind you, the Bolshoi School only accepts outsiders that are willing to pay, in order to continue being able to train their own non-fee paying talented students; so yes, thanks Joy (or should I say her parents) for continuing the funding of such a great ballet school.

I agree, Joy. It is great to see you dancing in a soloist/principal guest role again, and in the style for which you have spent years training. Back in Russia? Citizen of Russia and the U.S., offering all kinds of new adventures in each country for you and that good looking, talented and apparently charming fiancé of yours! Maybe a position with this new ballet company (I know, it's pretty new, probably with all kinds of hurdles, but it says it has a mandate to build a ballet company of excellence.) I would love to see you settled back in Russia, where you learned your craft, learned the language and went through hoops to obtain Russian permanent residency. An open door and presence in both countries? That would be great. Good for you, Joy. Your talent far exceeds guest/aunt at the Nutcracker family party. My thoughts are, of course, my own. Your path, your own. Meantime, it would be great to see the Boston Ballet recognize your talent and cast you accordingly. Remember, always be publicly discreet.

And we will never know. Joy is vague. And she is not happy if she can’t be a principal dancer. I don’t see her getting anywhere in the US.

I've noticed she's always a bit off timing with the music, not that I could do any better. My teacher told us to listen to the music, maybe it was just my instructor. I wonder if they teach dancers to read music. We practiced with a metronome to get perfect timing.

ahhhh, you dance just as well as a Russian that was born and raised in this technique of ballet, and look soo pretty in all that white its exciting for us to see you get to perform again, after all the mill life has taken you though, all the stuff you did and do to take us along for the journey of the first American to graduate from the Vaganova, and dance with the world famed bolshie, and our entrepreneur and eyes into the mystical world of Russian dance, past the beauty into the politics and hard work it takes to make the magic. keep on keeping on and press on like the true Texan you are
@levondelite40723 жыл бұрын
I’ve enjoyed watching Joy’s progress too but 1 correction, she did not attend nor graduate from Vaganova. It was the Bolshoi school.
@manga123 жыл бұрын
@@levondelite4072 well I know she was like the first westerner to do it or atleast from the americas when she did. she's an interesting one, elegant but Texan country girl, American but of Russian or Ukrainian lineage, buisness woman but down to earth, and sharing her struggles which are many.
@jessicah34503 жыл бұрын
They teach Russian technique in Texas 😂 It just depends on which instructor you pick. Texas has cities by the way, we're not all "country". She is from California, you can tell by her accent. Many Californians moved to Texas in the 80's and 90's and continue to do so, because the real estate is cheaper.
@manga123 жыл бұрын
@@jessicah3450 I know they have cities, most of your anime and cartoon dubbing is done there, two of the major studios like funimation, and the remnants of ad vision, I belive megazone 23 films is there, and tons of industry, it also has its own german dialect spoken down there like how they have Penn Dutch in the Anabaptist communities up north here. of course the real-estate is cheaper its one of the biggest states with land, and lots of it and no where near the rules and regulations and bureaucracy that californa has, I know some also want to turn the reddest political state blue in some peoples eye, but tex dont have the crazy population density or crazy laws they have in cali, I mean its expensive people working for tech firms and cant even afford a place to live three or four years ago its crazy. but you say most of texas teaches the russian method?
