o donovan brothers you guys are my idols when it comes to rowing. Im in my town rowing club and I was kicked off my crew u16 for a girl who should have been u14 because of what her surname was before the season started. I was close to stopping rowing because of how I was being more or less ingored in my club.Your whole attitude during the Olympic Games saying you were just having the craic helped my this year. So instead of worrying about races I just went to training for the craic. Because of you now I have fun at rowing not worrying about anything other than being in the boat and having the craic. Cheers lads😉

@You’rejustafreaklikemeLoads of straight men would be offended if you assumed that they were gay and lots of gay or bi people would feel uncomfortable if you assumed that they were heterosexual and then they would have to declare that they're actually not, even more having to do so with a stranger. Either situation, the person doing the assuming about someone else's sexual orientation or preferences is declaring a narrative for someone else and that's wrong.

If he had said "a woman" and people for upset I would've been right there with you because it is a normal assumption to make but he chose not to make an asaumption and there's nothing wrong with that.

So, like I said, we r grand ... so “know your place” & go saunter u right pure amadán.

I'm originally from the Caribbean island of St. Lucia, and I understood almost everything they said for one reason: their Skibbereen accent is almost similar to Jamaicans' accents, and there's a reason for that: during the transatlantic slave trade, most of the slaveowners in Jamaica were Irish, I read long ago. Even today in Jamaica there are places with Irish names, and one of two of my friends from Ireland (both Caucasian) actually tracked their ancestors to Jamaica, and those ancestors were African slaves who were used by the Irish. In St. Lucia, our ancestry is divided among African, British, and French, so while English is our official language, we also speak Creole French. My personal family ancestry also contains - in addition to the aforementioned African, British and French - Irish, Scottish, Chinese, East Indian, Spanish and some German. But anyway, that's why I think the Irish accent is kind of similar to Jamaican accents. I found some articles online which confirmed this but I was unable to share the link on here.

Mal I am from Clonmel in County Tipperary in Ireland, and there is a Clonmel in Jamaica, so it has been named after Clonmel in Ireland. Why I say so is that Oliver Cromwell when the Siege of Clonmel took place in 1650 so when Cromwell lost a lot of soldiers and then they opened the gates he took Irish slaves and sold them to Jamaica l
