I'm sad how this game has gone it was so promising at the start and had so much fun with my clan or nomads. I'll keep watching your channel for updates and hope one day we'll have a game to play again in the Oasis. Keep up the great work and hopefully it'll lead to great things if they continue to develop this game.

Thanks! I'm right there with you. We all want it to be good but the sustainability of it being an MMO is a difficult formula to prescribe. I'm interested to see what happens next because as far as we know they could drop some bomb new update any day now.

@@SkyKevin Devs are absolutely dumb, they make what they want but that not what players will like. Nobody wants to fuck around for water. We just need more new content for old game. Game basics was ok. They should make more new walkers more maps and bosses.

What really killed this game for me was when they got rid of the lobby. RL keeps me from being near a PC for a few days at a time…. Having to restart everything from scratch was the final nail.

This was the perfect COVID game but unfortunately people don't have the time it takes to get materials enough to compete with the clans. Thus, low rate of new players which means the bigger clans hunts down the few new players that exists and that slowly kills the game. So long Oasis, we had fun.

@@TimelessSingularity You don't think so? the S4 LO Classic server has been doing some interesting mods already so I think if you had easier tools to work with there's plenty that could be done whether it's new creatures or walkers to inject more content into the game.

I bought Last Oasis and played it for 1 hour and 45. I knew then that the game would die completely. My colleagues were completely hyped and played it for months. But Last Oasis has one big problem: the developers, and their understanding of immersive PvP. Other games like World of Warcraft, EvE Online, SWTOR, Sea of ​​Thieves etc. have one thing in common: PvP which you can turn on or off. Games like Ark Survival or 7 Days to Die also have PvP in second place. Survival is the real enemy. So it can happen that two enemies join forces in order to be able to achieve a goal together and then go their separate ways. But when it comes to "pure" PvP games, there are often trolls, streamers, or just assholes in the game. So also in Last Oasis. Join a great clan or perish. But what if you only want to gamble with your own friends. The Last Oasis developers didn't ask themselves what if small groups wanted to gamble together. The developers of Sea of ​​Thieves, for example, asked themselves this question and developed a type of ship that is agile and can sail away from the other big ones. Of course, a few smartasses will want to answer directly that Last Oasis has something like that too. That's true, but one of the main aspects is building bases. Or the map change at the edge of the map, where you could also be intercepted. The size of the players makes the race. So the bigger your clan, the more map presence. That fucks people up. EvE Online e.g. is not a survival game, but has a similar concept. Everything is PvP. You can do PvE in it, but it's all PvP. As soon as a certain clientele comes into the game, the kind of assholes who don't have any honor and just screw people out of yuck, those kind of people ruin the game. You can currently see it in EvE Online. Same in Last Oasis. As soon as a certain clientele was there, the game was for Ass. Like I said, I returned the game and my friends were playing it. But their frustration ran high. And these are players who stick with one thing. The developer stance was also very questionable, and remains so to this day.

Its sad about this game, the most fun gameplay was the event maps where everyone poured in and we players using tools like wingsuit, skills and survivability to get hold of rare items. They could easily turn the game into "fortnite" where you have a base and community maps with a certain amount of security but then event maps to get hold of stuff.

It was a lot of fun with event maps however I recall doing iron tiles where players would wingsuit around to gather iron rather than using a walker. It was pretty counterintuitive toward getting into big walker fights so they had to do something to change it.

Honestly...this games devs are addicted to making bad decisions. Even when they make good decisions like shifting the games focus to a more pve oriented playstyle, they handicap themselves with bad decisions like forcing players to build massive hangars for their walkers. I love this game, its one of my favorites thematically. But when i saw that i would have to build and maintain enormous hangars to maintain a small walker i just gave up. Reintroducing the structures within bases that allow you to pack walkers inside would fix so much

It's interesting you're right. They make largely good overarching decisions. But when it comes to the fine tuned details it always takes forever for them to make a decision on adjusting it.

I have a build for you. The base main use is for Medium Canyon Tiles. It acts as a bridge that goes over Canyons to make Travel through the map easier especially between the north and south of the map. It has a Hangar that is for holding a dinghy. I currently have two of this bridge base a hangar one and non Hangar one. The Hangar one is near the Trade on Hidden Breach NA East

not enough resources spent on development. They tried for the first year and then gave up leaving a skeleton crew of devs to pick up the pieces and move in a new direction while they worked on their next game.

Great to see you're playing the game still, I kind of gave up as I found the Ancient City stuff just too deadly for my reactions, even after watching your video on 'how to', interesting you've gone to using the buffalo. Yeah, it does worry my a little that they all went quiet, but your checking does give me a little hope on that topic. The modding experience who everyone was really pushing for, will be tricky for them given their reliance on having the database server on their cloud servers. I'd love for them to move the DB's off onto the local server. It'd also drop their hosting costs a lot as all the private games are stored in the cloud by them. Great to see the update too!

Hey random question but I just started getting back into LO with all the changes that happened. I’m just wondering are the wing suit and the beltless grapple still in the game? For me it kinda looks like there is just the nomad and the fast grapple

For season 5 you cant get the beltless grapple so if you want something similar you'll want a legendary long grapple or legendary fast grapple instead the wing suit isn't unlockable either

Did you seriously make a video about how you would like to make a nice video? WTF? Are you trying to shame the devs into giving out more information? LMFAO, the devs havn't cared what players thought since season 1, before it was even called a season. Literally everyone I know who played the game, a couple dozen people, quit because of the base pack timer. Thousands of people complained on the forums and said they would quit, then did quit when the devs wouldn't reverse their ridiculous decision. Now the game is dead, largely from that one change, and the devs couldn't care less.
