If you go on the wikipedia page for Angry Birds, there is a section that talks about the Global impact Angry Birds has on Religion. If you follow the footnote trail you will end up on a page with a five-part essay called “Angry Birds Yoga - How to Eliminate the Green Pigs in Your Life.” when I found this I was at a loss for words and I fail to describe what reading it was like. More people deserve to know about this and the fact that I might be 1 of a 100 people who know about this has been eating away at me for months.

To be fair, said essay seems to have been an extension of a Hindu sect in Brazil centered around the Hindu deity Krishna that was founded in 1966 in terms of conveying their teachings in a "unique" way I suppose. Apparently it has 10 million members worldwide. A more western way of understanding the essay would be like if an american youth pastor compared the story arc of Frodo in Lord of the Rings to Jesus and/or one's relationship with God or something. An indvidual from Rovio seems to have commented on it, actually talking about it in a positive context. The society seems to have been the subject of some anti-cult protests, but they seem pretty legit as a religious institution that has undergone several reforms in terms of their structure, etc(in light of some pretty disturbing and complicated controversies of course). Although they have gotten flak from other hindu sects for demeaning the importance of other gods in favor of Krishna.

Angry Birds Space being it's own universe is so bizzare to me. It seems to be one of those retcons Rovio did because it wants to, because the "World of Angry Birds Official Guide", makes clear that it (at least originally) did take place in the classic universe. The book even detailed the conclusion to the events of the game (which the game itself didn't for some reason but whatever), explaining that after danger zone, the birds seemed to have dismantled all of the space pigs' operations and just . . . peaced out back to earth I guess. (Before you ask, yes I know more about the bird lore than I care to think about)

I think Rovio's big mistake was playing into the idea of a multiverse at all. It's obvious that they don't really know what they're talking about. Prior to the movie, basically everything except Star Wars and Transformers was connected into the same canon. And any contradictions were easy to handwave, since everything is episodic. Then they started splitting off a million different spin-offs and the multiverse is just a way to try to jokingly say they're connected when they're not. Whoever made/looked over that multiverse graphic just decided that Space makes more sense to be separate, even though it really doesn't.

Granted, I like that there's a degree of seperation between the classic stuff and everything after it (Apart from the first movie I really did NOT like what rovio did with the franchise), introducing the concept of a multiverse that confuses everything only to do practically nothing with it frustrates me to no end.

I tend to only rely on sources for classic lore pre 2017, purely because of the stupid retcons Rovio has made which completely contradict the classic lore (such as space being it's own universe, a decision I can only imagine was made out of a lack of research). I only really cherry pick bits of lore they've introduced since then to treat as canon (Melody and Jo for example, characters that are fun and have so much potential, yet rovio does little to nothing with them . . . as always.)

The World of Angry Birds Official Guide book confirmed Ice Bird is the characters real name. The producer of the movies jokingly said Bubbles wasn't in the sequel because he got snapped out of existence by the Thanos Snap. I have a list of questions and concerns about the logic in the angry birds franchise here it is: 1.nearly in all the games and series except AB space (that one episode of candy planets) the pigs bake cake, where do they get the eggs for cake? 2.the embryos inside of the AB space eggs can't survive the vacuum of space and extreme low temperature of space.Also an egg shell has tiny pore like holes on the surface of the egg shell that allow underdeveloped bird embryos to breathe so the AB space eggs were dead from the beginning. Also not to mention the fact that the vortex transporting them into deep space must have cooked the eggs from the inside out. 3.also according to science, organisms with green skin should theoretically contain a pigment called chlorophyll and should be able to produce their own food via photosynthesis so theoretically the pigs should too, also in the AB (Angry birds) evolution game it would have made sense to give the pigs such an ability. I rest my case.

I do not like how this video is how I found out that Bad Piggies 2 finally picked an artstyle, and it's based on the movies, I want to die. Anyway, the Classic/Toons universe is the best universe. It was the perfect level of fun. Lore was not too prevalent, but it didn't need to be since it was an episodic series. The Movies are fine, but they threw everything into a horrifying multiverse that gets more and more disjointed as time goes on. I miss when Star Wars and Transformers were the only alternate universes, and were basically just spin-offs. The multiverse has completely devoured the Angry Birds series. Reloaded is such a weird case as well, it's just impossible to keep track of. Anyway, glad Agri Birds was mentioned, thank you once again for using Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games (DS) story mode music in your videos, and have a nice day.

Also Angry Birds Stella was my favorite slingshot game, gameplay-wise, so I was incredibly upset when they just shut the game down. Pretty sure this was way before all the other classic games got shut down, and it was very upsetting.

It kind of feels like the movie designs are like considered by Rovio to be “true” designs now. Like if you asked them to show a picture of Red, by default they’ll show movie Red. Like even the fricken Minecraft DLC had the movie design despite it having no reason to be based off the movie.

Very well made video! I used to be an avid fan of everything related to Angry Birds. I got every app, watched every Toon, staying hyped for the series through it all. My interests shifted after the first movie as I focused more on school and other franchises, but I'm glad to see that one of my favorite franchises, although flawed, is still going strong to this day, as it's nice to see someone give a well made and very funny in depth explanation of the expanded lore. I'll definitely have to look into some of the more deeper stuff like Super Angry Birds, and I definitely have to find some gameplay of Angry Birds Reloaded.
