Aren't the 'roadbumbps' a useful reminder for us to remember Allah in all our situations? To remind us, to make us refelct, just as the sleeping policemen slow us down and make us more cautious, so to, are the things in life's path that are potholes, or road bumps, that make us realise not to be working our efforts solely for the dunya, our children, we love to indulge them - then we hit a bump, and we remember that we are of course able to take joy from them, but we are also teachers of them, and meant to help them develop maturity and skills to help them journey through this life safely back to Jannah, to keep closer to Allah, than to us. That we must nurture a healthy attachment for them to our Rabb, He will never leave them, and will always be with them [and us insha Allah] at all times, for always.
