I was there in 1987 when the famous hurricane hit . We had to close down about three weeks before the season end. Such a shame to see it like this. A huge amount of history around that building.....

@@isasalaam5055 it's terrible to see it in this state, it opened on May 1899 and that's an impressive amount of history it would have seen but to resort to what it is now is very sad.

@@allenwood9967 It is actually three buildings converted into just one. The main part you are in. At the reception area, just to the right is a large wooden paneled off area. Builders have restricted that area but from the other end you can get in. Where the kings head pub use to be. And then there was the middle section.

@@isasalaam5055 I noticed whilst I was in there that the scaffolding was up and you could hear a team working away inside.

@@allenwood9967 Yeah mate, that would be cool! Love abandoned stuff, find it so interesting. There's a big manor house about an hour from where I live, still need to work out exactly where it is but will do over the winter 🤟
