This coming December 14th will mark 39 years since I was baptized & confirmed a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints!! Because of my decision to join the Church, I lost almost all of my friends & many family members turned from me!! Despite that, I do NOT regret my decision!! My mom was visiting, who is a non-member. Had her watch conference along with my family on Sunday. She cried and was touched by the words spoken from the pulpit. She can tell they are inspired words from God. She particularly loved and appreciated Quentin L Cook's Sunday afternoon talk. He discussed the importance of the Bible and also the Book of Mormon. She said that talk answered a lot of questions she has had.

We were in travel through heavy traffic yesterday in Atlanta, traveling from Florida to Iowa. The terrible ravages of hurricane Helene one week ago were evident along the highway from north Florida through southern Georgia. We had heard of the awful conditions still among the Carolinas and saw many relief trucks still heading that way northward. As we were slowed to stop and go traffic, among cars and trucks with places to be, a semi passed by us and I was so heartened to read the name on the door "DESERET TRANSPORTATION"!!! Having labored in Bishops Storehouses many times and places, I shed a tear and said a prayer as I realized those 53 feet of relief supplies were most likely on their way to the Carolinas. God is merciful and remembers His children in their need. Thank you to all who serve and give.

When the missionaries taught us ,the plan of salvation,my big questions was answer,I don't have doubt,God answers me for 20 yrs. confused which Church is true,I and the rest of my family was baptized,May 1978..being a member is a great pearl of price to us,I got married in the temple with a returned missionary partner,with one child serving as a full-time missionary, I'm proud and happy to tell the world,how great is our joy , to know the everlasting gospel of Jesus Christ.

When President Nelson first became our Prophet he looked shell shocked. His counselors stepped to the plate. President Nelson quickly adapted and has become a wonderful leader of our Church. Russell M Nelson is a Prophet of God.

Incredible update and so many wonderful things happening. I appreciate how much the church helps around the world, I just wish they wouldn’t only help women and children. The men around the world need help and society collectively shrugs their shoulders and just figures they can figure it out on their own granted there were a few universal things like helping the patients with sickle cell anemia through the Red Cross, but I think there needs to be an emphasis on helping men with the challenges, they face around the world

There are programs in the church that help both men and woman in finding jobs, learning how to do finances, help in gaining a formal education, receiving assistance from the church's storehouse, and more. It's just that in this report they highlighted some recent service efforts which happen to be about helping woman and children in those communities.

I don't think the early saints could imagine what miracles the Lord would do through their faith and sacrifice. I am humbled and grateful that I have an opportunity to be a part of something much bigger than myself. We are truly blessed. Praise be to God and to His holy son Jesus Christ. The thing that stood out to me (and I didn’t know) was that President Nelson saw, in vision, the nations of the world coming to temple square. Then, lo and behold, Salt Lake City was chosen to host the 2030 Olympics. I don’t think it’s “coincidence” that the Olympics are coming back to Utah. This also reminded me of Isiah’s prophecy that the mountain of the Lord’s house shall be established in the Tops of the Mountains and all nations shall flow unto it. I’m sure now that Isaiah not only saw the Salt Lake temple, but he also saw the Olympics coming to the capital of Utah. In the mouth of two or three whiteness every word of the Lord shall be established; first Isaiah, now President Nelson.

There is always a way back because of Jesus Christ. Don't listen to that other voice. Only the adversary would tell you there is no way back. Jesus Christ has already done the work to rescue you. Allow him to help you. Start by praying for help and reaching out to the missionaries.

As a member of this Church I have studied the Bible much and I find that this is the one church that follows the patterns seen in the Bible; prophets, temples, tithing, sacrament, apostles, priesthood power, miracles, God speaking to and guiding his children, etc... An omniscient and all powerful God should be able to lead all truth loving people to the same truth. Why does this not happen ? The members of the Orthodox Church believe that their church is the true church of God on Earth. Why does God not open their eyes to see that it is the LDS church that has the truth ? I have the Book of Mormon in my bookshelf. I have read some of it but not all of it. It does not talk to me at all. I find it quite boring.

Because God allows people to make their own choice with their own free will. He doesn’t force people to believe Him. God also involves us in His work as well. He commands us to go forth and preach His gospel.

It has to be our want to be lead to the right church, it has to be our want for our eyes to be open, we have to be willing to accept anything the God reveals to us. If people are willing to be lead by God, to his church, he will lead them. He will never force them. Not everyone who wants to be lead to his church is ready for his church, and as such, must be prepared.

The members of the Orthodox Church sincerely believe that their church is the true church of God on Earth. If God opened their eyes to see where the true church is they would get a possibility to choose whether to join it or not. Some of them would probably not want to leave their current church but many of them would. If I knew what the whole truth is why would I choose some half truth or a heresy ?

People who are members of heretical sects do not know that their sects are heretical. God is not very good at talking to people.
