Contracts require three things: (1) offer, (2) acceptance, and (3) consideration. In this lecture-format video, I explain the elements of an offer: (a) manifestation of intention and (b) reasonably certain term. I analyze four famous cases: (i) Lucy v. Zehmer, (ii) Embry v. McKittrick, (iii) Cheever v. Academy Chicago Publishers, and (iv) Sun Printing v. Remington Paper. Then I briefly conclude on how to evaluate offers.
