He presumably took over the Auditor's powers. 5:49 It is Tricky. Throughout the episode, there are posters in the background that are basically the Auditor telling Hank and Sanford to get Tricky out of him (because they're inside the Auditor's personal Hell-like location). 7:09 He doesn't quite fail, as his actions directly lead to the destruction of the primary Improbability Drive, a major blow to the Auditor's plans.

The SQ wanted an easy way through Nexus City's borders to take down Project Nexus, so they gave Sheriff a pie with a tracker inside it, then sent Hank to assassinate him. Since he's the one guarding the city's walls, he should be the first to die. Of course it didn't work, then when Sheriff died he was ressurected (probly by Jebidiah).

@@Somirage143 Nah it's not actual lore, it's just my theory that connects Project Nexus to the main series. And it makes sense too, cuz how else would the Sheriff Tracker get inside the Sheriff? And the Sheriff's building in MC2 is probably a MERC-owned base outside the main city. Proof: Krinkels confirmed Project Nexus is all canon, Hank says ''didn't I kill you before?" when he meets the Sheriff, and the tutorial mode in Project Nexus is literally MC2.
