Thats a real person and it happened, he survived He went down in history as a boxer who fought in concentration camps (Auschwitz-Birkenau, Neuengamme, Bergen-Belsen). His first fight in KL Auschwitz took place in March 1941, where he won against German kapo Walter Dunning, the pre-war German vice-champion in the middleweight category. According to various estimates, Teddy fought between 40 and 60 fights in KL Auschwitz, losing only once to the Dutch middleweight champion Leen Sanders. In the camp, Tadeusz Pietrzykowski maintained close contact with Captain Witold Pilecki and became a member of the Union of Military Organization, founded by him. He met several times with Father Maximilian Kolbe, who advised him on the need to control his emotions and aggression despite the surrounding evil. In 1943, Tadeusz Pietrzykowski was transferred to the concentration camp in Neuengamme. On the day he left KL Auschwitz, Dunning gave him two pairs of boxing gloves as a sign of respect. In Neuengamme, he fought about 20 boxing matches, including with German boxer Schally Hottenbach. He was liberated by British soldiers on April 15, 1945, in the Bergen-Belsen camp. He joined General Stanisław Maczek's 1st Armored Division, where he conducted sports training for soldiers and continued boxing, becoming the division's champion in his weight category in 1946.

Thats not SS-Colonel - or an Officer to begin with. Colonel would be of rank named SS Standartenführer, with one oak leaf on each of his collar insignias, two white stripes on his trousers, Silver line on a cap and his shoulder mark would be a Silver epaulette with two Gold stars. This man is of rank SS-Hauptscharführer - or a Master Sergeant if you will. He is a senior NCO, as you can see he has no Silver stripe on his trousers and his collar still has two Sowilo runes (SS bolts) on his right collar and Silver line with two Silver stars in his left collar. His shoulder marks are black with Silver lining and two Silver stars. He is 2nd highest NCO rank as there is only Sturmscharführer above. From this rank however he fan become SS-Standartenoberjunker - an Officer aspirant rank that would be shown by adding two Silver diagonal lines to his shoulder marks.
