Great Video Brandon. I love The War on Drugs. They are one of my favorite newer bands. There is just something about guitar tone that gets me.

Great video and I also hate those cheap digipaks too

I know, right? The only thing worse than those cheap digipaks is the $16.99 price sticker they put on it lol.

Billy Idol's 1993 Cyberpunk set several precedents in the album promotion process. In particular, he used the Internet, e-mail, virtual communities and multimedia software - a first for a celebrity.

This CD tag that's going around absolutely takes me by surprise. The amount of vinyl presenters contributing to this that I would consider "big" & those most VC members would know is growing every day. For me personally I never watch Glen K 's videos as I don't like his vibe & it's all CD related which is just ok but nah..... He also replied to a non offensive comment I posted (perhaps a yrs or so ago) in a very rude & ignorant tone so I don't sub etc. All that aside I'm still amazed by how many VC ppl are contributing to this thread as I would not think so many knew of GK from the Basement or his thread.

I think most vinyl guys are naturally people that obviously love physical media so the cd is just one more part of that. Not talked about as much, but still there. I have always said....if the "cd industry" was smart what they would do is start making long boxes again!! We collectors like "Music stuff" and if they started reissuing stuff like all the Sabbath, Ozzy, Iron Maiden, or Kiss cds in long boxes with all the cover art and packaging....I would LITERALLY go back and buy all those cds all over again and collect them just like I collect vinyl lol..

Great Video ! The Madonna Collection CD..maybe the first/only CD easy to find that used Q Technologie Sound. From the 90s. Be first/only to have a Duel Disc 2025 CD Tag !

I totally agree with you on the well-made digipaks. I am going to point out the same thing when I do mine. Especially the Japanese high quality ones, as you pointed out, really feel close to handling vinyl. Placebo! I only know one song from the nineties but I never forgot the band name. Really what you said about each format bringing something to the table. Great perspective!

War On Drugs. Awesome band, I have all their albums. They have another live album just came out. Digipaks-the worst is the kind where you have to open it and lay it flat to slide the cd out from the inside. The digi tears and the cd gets scratched. But I’ve made my peace by keeping cd in separate paper sleeve and put that together with the digi in a clear sleeve.

Uhhh! I know EXACTLY what you mean! Those are worst of the digipaks.

great video Brandon! love your variety in music. i love all formats too. you should make a cassette tag with same questions! I love cassettes and don’t think they get the attention they deserve
@mrhoffame2 күн бұрын
Hmmmm. Not a bad idea. Throw me a few questions you would put in a cassette tag.
@jimsmith3477Күн бұрын
@ looks like two from the trunk already did one! i guess one way is to mimic the applicable questions from the CD tag

the War on Drugs is maybe the best band in the country last few years. The album you are showing might not even be their best. I love the last three albums, and I am kicking myself for not seeing them live at the Hollywood Bowl in October. They were an opening act, but once i saw the setlist the next day, i was in disbelief at how good the setlist was on paper.

Yeah, I totally dig the last two album and the Live Drug, but Deeper still stands out to me as their Dark Side Of The Moon in their personal catalog lol.

I have that War On Drugs album but haven't listened to it in years. I'll give it a spin tomorrow. Edit: Looks like I don't own that particular album but two of their other cds.

Definitely stream it. You will dig it!
