This trailer changed my life. I had no idea the marketing for a film could be so mysterious. I was obsessed with the film called "1-18-08" and to this day Cloverfield remains one of my favorite films. It holds such a special place in my heart.

I just saw this movie for the first time ever last night on my HDTV and surround system after smoking a J. Let me tell you - I have never been so close to having a panic attact in my life. My anxiety was through the roof and my legs were quivering and my heart was racing. This movie is literally a "first-person" experience that must not be missed. The sense of dread and fear of the unknown was almost unbearable. But I throughly enjoyed it as every ounce of my adrenaline was taking over!

Ahhh...Cloverfield and Pacific Rim. 2 FANTASTIC updates of the Kaiju genre (and in Pacfic Rim's case Mecha genre also) 2 different universes - however when you think about it, both films actually unintentionally compliment each other. Cloverfield gives us a wonderfully harrowing idea of what it would be like to be under siege by a real life kaiju threat; from humanity's on-the-ground perspective. And of course...Pacific Rim presents us with a particular scenario in which humanity is forced to REALLY push back. ;-) Victims no more!! LOL

Just finished watching the movie.. what can I say, really well done overall.. makes you think. These kind of movies are horror for me, to even think anything like that happening really, it's scary.. the ending made me really sad as well, so many beautiful live's lost.
