Eddy Gordo has been out for a couple of days now. A lot of people are curious about how strong he is, and what his new tools are. I think he's very fun and pretty good at the very least. Here's a quick 10 minute breakdown of what I learned so far followed by a bunch of matches showcasing what I talked about. Enjoy!

I wonder if you are able to GoD a character in a day if you played in EU/KR region

@@TkAnakin Nah, I've come to understand that there are fewer players in the EU region and they are hardcore, thus the skill-level at low ranks get harder. The competition already at red, purple and blue ranks is way higher than in USA. I've seen tons of videos where the level of blue ranks in USA is way below the level of blue ranks in the EU/KR region. But you're way above that level so I don't think it would make any difference for you.

This helped me so much. I just used the basic things from the beginning of the video. Worked really well. I am new to the game and struggled with steve to get red ranks. Played Eddy for a day and got to garyu 😅

Both enders, T! SSL dash uf4 (RLX) 3,3 and T! 1 → heat → 4,4f~ heat dash ub3 ended up doing the same dmg, though? I don't get the advantage of spending heat on that combo

Played a lot of eddy mirror matches yesterday. I interrupted a lot of those handstand transition with pokes and punished with b2,4. Hate those nerfs. Even ss 3+4 is high instead of mid

After b1 you’re automatically in crouch so just press 14 and it becomes rising 14

Combo is the least important part for a noob. Learn how to get to the point where you can use combos

Follow PhiDX and watch some of his videos. He goes into a tonne of depth when he teaches

And also majority of all this can be found in your move list in practice and most of the moves tell you what the properties of that move/combo are ie; heat engager, since change etc. It would take a long time to make those notes brody. This is a decent video but you may need to pause and rewind etc

@@39533 I'm a teacher by profession so perhaps I know what I'm talking about. Anakin teaches things in a way that will likely only make sense to veterans. He jumps through 100 things way too quickly without really explaining or giving examples. If he only wants to appeal to long time veterans that's fine but that's not really a good audience for KZbin content.

@@ParabolaTool His audience is not for absolute beginners. Once you know the terminology and have some hours in ranked then everything is digestible. He has a separate video for that. If every tutorial was aimed for absolute beginners the videos would be too long. Dont know why this had to be explained, hope you dont teach kids, you sound like a terrible teacher.
