Probably not. He's likely got a large collection of stuff and wants to convert some of it to money, especially if he's not using that particular gear anymore. Also, I think his kids are nearing the age where they are looking to go to college, so he could be raising money for them. Note that Jeff Tweedy also sold a bunch of gear on Reverb a year or two ago. If you look at current videos of his loft in Chicago, it's clear he could have another five Reverb sales and still not get rid of everything.
