More goals and fewer 0-0 draws? Sounds good to me, that’s what football needs. What’s wrong with more 3-2 or 4-3 games? The average of 2.5-3 goals a game will likely only increase to 3-3.5 goals a game and at most, if we are lucky, it’ll increase to 3.5-4 goals a game, but I seriously doubt that. You still won’t see 3-2, or 4-3 games with any regularity, but high scores like that will be slightly more common. And I think it’ll be great for the sport and attract more viewers

When Wenger first came up with this I felt it was ridiculous. It’s going to mean defenders backtracking just before the ball is played and even dropping 10 metres behind strikers. It will stretch the midfield and result in totally new formations. As this video suggests, it could result in more park the bus football. The offside rule doesn’t need changing this radically. It just needs VAR to be applied properly and without moronic, blind 4th officials.

They should define body parts and which are considered able to touch the ball. Then the offsides rule should be if there are two or more body parts that can touch the ball legally being past the defender, they are offsides, excluding the head. That used to be the rule and is the right decision. Currently, 99.99% of you can be onside, so are offside. On feet alone, a player can be onside at the back of his/her foot but offside at the front against someone with smaller boots.
