This song takes me back to my depression years. I made it through and I will help any poor kid out there that thinks they're inadequate, when in reality, it's the world that's fucked up.

This whole album makes me wish I could've been a 90's teen instead of a 90's baby. That time was the best of both worlds. Motocross, skateboarding, surfing, and kids could still get away with having fun but no cell phones or social media. I'm truly jealous of anyone who got to experience that.
@tommartin16754 жыл бұрын
You can still get away with experiencing that world now. The difference is you have to make the choice and social media doesn't like the idea of losing its audience, so it makes that decision as difficult as possible.

I was 12 yo when Ixnay was released. Songs like Cool to Hate and I Choose were a perfect description of how I felt as a kid (more of a brat, I guess). Then again, Meaning of Life, Gone Away, Change the World and this song are perfect descriptions of how I feel today, so I guess it's never too late for us to marvel at the masterpiece that this album is.

1997. My bro was 17 and I was 9 and he and his friends kept listening to this album, while he tattooed them with his self-made tattoo machine. :D I can see it as if it was yesterday. I love this album for it's raw and real sound and lyrics AND for the moments it reminds me of, when I listen to it. When I was a little girl, who was AMAZED by her cool big bro and his room full of band posters such as Offspring, Blur, Depeche Mode, Prodigy... Great times.
