I just finished watching Carrangers as a Whole earlier. From episode 1 to 48. God the Mecha fight Drama do not compare to the new ones. This is rare to happen in western story. Westerners have this weird obsession with obliterating their opponent to oblivion, while on East today's enemy might become tomorrow's ally. We've seen some protagonist-antagonist love story in western media, but more often they're some sort of feme fatale venomous lust instead of mutual feeling. Its almost like the message is that enemy will always be enemy, no matter how good they are they might bite back at you later.
