just one of the most original bands in music history and even though they are primarily known for funk and soul they could play music is several different styles. Too bad they and War have lost so many of their original members.

One of my all-time favorite bands! Two things... I saw an interview where Chet said they had recorded some new music, the only thing released so far was the single RESET, really hope some more new music is coming out soon. Also heard that before he passed SUGAR had recorded some new music, really wish it was being released. So sad that it hasn't been.

Mid to late 80's I was in my early 20's I went to see them at a club here in L.A., they performed twice. After the 1st performance I saw the man who introduced them in the hallway guarding their dressing room door. I told him how when I was 11 iin 1978 my older brother blew me out when they played the Forum as he took a girl instead, and can I meet them as they're my idols? He opens the door and retells my story and someone told him let me in. I was in awe, across the room stood Rock God, I slowly walk up, he has a rolled up 100 dollar bill in his hand, I was nervous and said something like, ''hello Mr. Sugarfoot, it's an honor to meet you, you're my idol etc. and can I have your autograph''? He obliged and while signing I told him my brother blowing me out story and goes, ''you should of kicked his fucking ass''! How awesome is that? I meet everybody, Diamond gave me some drumsticks and was told to sit and was served a Heineken. Fukn crazy, was just me and the Ohio Players drinking Heinekens, was way too awesome. And I saw both performances too. The opening act were these white guys who played funk called 'the Chetts' and their tall lanky front man did the running-man, I still have the autographs of both bands. Till this day I still haven't kicked my brother's ass, sorry Sugarfoot.

Junie Morrison was 1, of the baddest musicians ever, when he left the Ohio players and joined P Funk it was over 4 ever other group because he helped form the Greatest Funk Band Of All Time, the P 🤘🏿🤘🏿🤘🏿🤘🏿
