North of the Mason Dixie line only tOSU has won a natty since the BCS Era. Once realignment of conferences and the NIL deal it actually benefits tOSU because we have always had a solid program but the narrative of ESPN that is the sole owner of sec TV rights basically and the rest of the nation jumping on the bandwagon and the lack of qb importance because everything else was so solid that we didn't really understand the importance of a great qb vs a qb that could get the job done. No matter what there's had really only been two teams since 1960 that had had the consistency of being rank #1 and that is bama and ohio state. All the others had their rise and great years but you can't say Really that you have been there year in and year out. Ohio state has the biggest fan base in the nation and I believe only Bama can say that no matter what teams they play is no cupcake really because every game we play we get their A++ game it is their game of the year and if they win they would be remembered for years at that school and will have national consequences in ranking and national image. With that myth busted and the brand power and the proven development also business opportunities outside football and in a Midwest city that can easily reach any city by plan or bus even car makes it the place to be. Even transfers that have practice but didn't get to earn playing time are killing it at other schools. So come here for a year sit on the bench learn from the best then transfer to a school that will let you start and become a super star

With Ohio State's current roster, Our QB1 next year isn't looking great despite the highly rated players they seemingly have on the depth chart. Kyle McCord and Devin Brown hasn't shown anything that indicates they are the answer. Possibly a portal year next year for the bucks at the QB opsition.

I'm not sure why you don't think Kyle McCord is the answer cuz he's literally the perfect answer. A five star recruit in his third year is exactly what Ohio State wants. You seem to think that he won't be good just because he hasn't shown anything outside of one start in his fourth game and some garbage time. Have you heard of CJ Stroud? Have you already forgotten that he didn't attempt a single pass until he started vs Minnesota. It's called development. That's why they usually don't start right away. Because they need to DEVELOP! Just because they don't look amazing right away doesn't mean they can't become great players. Chase Young was fifth in the DE rotation in his freshman year. Jameson Williams had only 15 receptions in his freshman and sophomore years combined. But it didn't matter because they developed. Our job as fans is to not overreact to players not being awesome right away. That's just dumb.
