If the market is over supplied, then, why isn't the crude oil price dropping?
@WorldIsWierd4 ай бұрын
Only in the US. The crude market now has two half. The US centric one and the eastern china one and the china one will get crushed by pirates

THE ONLY REASON WHY PRICES ARE NOT SO HIGH BECAUSE OF THE EV REVOLUTION. OVERSUPPLY OF OIL LESS ICE ON THE ROAD. OR MANIPULATION. FOOD FOR THOUGHT.

to understand the angle better: This dude, from "S&P Global" wants to say "There's plenty of oil" = reduce oil prices = increase S&P 500 performance. When Trillions are involved, people will say whatever, as long as it serves their interests.

The US has been the biggest producer since 2018. However, the President ineffective at articulating that. And former President is highly effective at articulating US is poorest at producing oil and must drill baby drill.

true gasoline price in US is way higher than $3 something ... the oil & gas industry receives hundreds of billions of federal and state dollars thru straight up free money subsidies and also giant tax breaks

"We talk a lot about climate change at Davos" Not a lot. Not a lot, when the analyst (Dan) says oil will peak 2030s, while the global mean temp passes 1,5C this year (2024). Remember that, 1,5C, the big number everyone signed on to? And what are the news channels saying btw? Credibility issues...

8 m barrel coming from angola
@jww23nyc4 ай бұрын
@@imtryinghere1 only 1.23 million per day coming from angola. By the time they ramp up production it wont be profitable enough to pump . .not at this rate. Prices are already teetering at current production levels. If anyone introduces more capacity then prices drop and margins shrink. I think you will see some US companies take some rigs offline or reduce future investments in new sites. Thats why they are growing through acquisition now. To take a large share of existing supplies.

US strategic oil reserve still a long way until they are refill back to the 2021 levels. Like 300+ million barrel needed.

What is the carbon footprint of all these talking heads flying over to Davos and staying there several days? If they genuinely cared about the climate, they wouldn't fly there! All this kerosene burnt over the Alps...
