I remember one teacher like that beat my colleague in class. The teacher was angry from the house and he took it upon the stubborn boy and lashed his back eh. He bled and the back of his shirt got stained with bl66d. The teacher quickly dropped the cane in fear and regret whiles the boy was yelling for help. Other teachers had to carry him to the hospital. The parents reported for the teacher to be sacked but the head switched class for him. It happened in Ho in 2002 but this wasn't a high school, it happened in primary 6 and the name starts with M. That day, I shook in fear and I never wanted to go to that school since that day but by God's grace we've finished and most of us are doing our PhD by the grace of God. Nothing stays forever, everything you go through shall surely come to pass.

I don't understand why people say don't speak badly about the dead even if she was wicked to you. Is that not hypocrisy? If you want people to speak well of you, be good when you are alive. She was the only one who knew how traumatic her experiences were. Allow her, please.
@helengyamfiboateng91494 ай бұрын
I guess you're quite young. All the wisdom and admonitions, societal norms and mores handed from generation to generation are tried and tested to hold society together. When a younger generation comes along and think they know better, they throw away these norms but life will show them later why these rules and regulations have survived for thousands of years. We're only hearing this lady's side of the story. The woman isn't here to defend herself. There're people who don't speak to their parents because their parents were too hard on them. No parent wants their kid to fail and will go all the way to build them up
@mtardieh4 ай бұрын
Most of these norms in my opinion do not hold society together. They make younger ones bitter and resentful which is passed on to the next generation and the cycle continues. At least, that was her experience with her so let her speak. Those who had good experiences with her can share theirs. I know a lot of people would have preferred her to express her joy privately, but I don't subscribe to that. By the way, I'm not that young. I'm on my way to 40 so I have quite an experience when it comes to Ghanaians and hypocrisy.
@FREDRICK_TUFFOUR4 ай бұрын
My point exactly.... the old think they can treat the young anyhow without much thought and the the young should just understand that they meant well when they were dishing out such awful punishments... they wonder why some men beat up their wife's or meet out extreme violence with the slightest provocation... it starts from an adult thinking its OK to exact violence and harshness on a youngster... be good to all if you want all to say good things about you.... it is her truth.. allow her... for some one to be bold like this knowing the culture and how we treat the dead means she means everything she is day saying and she believes she has been wronged unjustly. Some people remember and some don't forgive and let go easily.. be mindful who you hurt.

Rather than simply saying 'if you'll become somebody, you will become...,Let's focus on fostering a supportive environment where individuals can grow and learn from their experiences and be better personalities in future . While it's true that anyone can achieve greatness, like becoming a President, it's equally important to recognize that past experiences can shape us into either compassionate or apathetic individuals. Let's strive to correct, rebuke, and criticize each other constructively, promoting a culture of empathy and understanding. By doing so, we can cultivate a harmonious community where peace flourishes and individuals can reach their full potential without becoming bitter or disillusioned. And that's how incompassionate some of our leaders are. That they can sleep peacefully when kids sit on ground under trees to learn, pregnant women lying on floor without beds, etc. Not saying a housemaster made them so but in raising kids, Let's be cautious.
@LegendBoss-mn4gy4 ай бұрын
This is message is so sensible & sensitive and I think we should all go for this..Am an OMSU from Scanty’s year group and I can relate so as we have fun with some of this,let’s also learn to make the system better through each other and not make life unbearable for others to become this way for if this girl didn’t step her legs in that school,she might be someone better as well and this is something really a very deep pain to understand.Not saying what she did was right tho.It takes something to make someone become like this when you have the opportunity to change them in a positive direction just because they need a change for change is a gradual process but some mothers and people don’t care about that and they go about it anyway anyhow and it rather brings out the other side in some people rather than the best in them as well.

We live in a country where stories of teachers caning students to death or leaving them in critical conditions spread everyday but we’re behaving as if we are ignorant of it. I’m not supporting her but if she survived it, allow her feel whatever she’s feeling. At the end of the day, you and I don’t even know any of them.

Similar thing happened to me in okuas acheampong girls house . 2016 year batch .Mad. Cornelia made my life a living hell in that school because I refused to fetch water and do house chores for her as my house work . Unfortunately she taught literature too and sacked me from class for over 2 academic years o humiliated and insulted me every time . Not to talk of punishments I did . I understand her pain

You guys are bad listeners. Before you do any analysis make sure you listen carefully. She said in the video that the woman worried her saa. And she decided that the only way she can get her freedom is to be deboardinized. So she decided to do things so that she will be deboardinized. I will not personally make a video like the lady did and I don't think anyone should judge her. Some of these senior high school authorities are horrible people. There are some seniors in school who are like that. For me I never allowed anyone to bully me and I'm very proud of myself. But not anyone can do that. Sometimes let's sympathize with victims of unnecessary bullying because its bad we have normalize bullying in high school. No one should say it happened to all of us and we survive and so you too survive. That is cave man mentality.

Babe, you're very right but it's an abomination to our tradition to come out in public to express your joy for the death of someone. What if you become a suspect when it becomes a police case? Also, death is inevitable so what if karma visits her because she has laughed at someone's death? She honestly could have kept quiet or expressed her joy amongst her friends and not social media. This is totally unprecedented and unacceptable. I have an auntie who was a total problem in our family but after she died, I only expressed my joy in my heart and never let it out before her kids hate and conspire against me. What she has done is an abomination and it has consequences. It's like she wants to be Afia Schwarzenegger the 2nd. But well, let's let sleeping dogs lie. We can't judge her
