The movie in itself is -in all honesty- ok to me ...NOW, you add the Joe and Nicky effect and I am Obsessed! Their characters are truly amazing and the acting is also very well executed ! Would have love to see more of them ...and in general more on the past of all the old guards. The action was pretty good, and the story overall was ok, so hopefully we will get a better balance of storytelling and action in the next one ( if there is a next one).

I liked the movie, I love to see Charlize fighting because she doesn't use stunt-double, but I missed seeing high kicks, hook kick, crescent kicks in the fight scenes, they could appear in the next film. I don't like this tendency in choreographies to only do Jiu Jitsu, Charlize does Jiu Jitsu, Hanna does Jiu Jitsu, everyone does the same thing. Charlize is flexible in seeing her doing high kicks.

If they're going for more realistic fight scenes, it makes sense that there aren't any high kicks. They look great, but they're not very practical in an actual fight, leave you vulnerable, and the instances where they would work in combat, esp., close quarters combat would be very rare. And since we're talking about centuries old combat veterans...they've probably gotten rid of anything that would interfere with combat efficiency.
