I was really surprised on how much I enjoyed this movie, Netflix films can be really uneven. This had really interesting world building and a focus on the character’s rather than special effects and never ending action scenes. Regarding the villain, I think they got him because he is supposed to look and act like Martin Shkreli (aka: the Pharma Bro) Even the villain’s name (I think it was Merrick) sounds like Martin Shkreli. So, if you subconsciously imagine the Pharma Bro as the villain, you will definitely want to pubch him in the face. I think in the end, they were not planning to have a scary villain, but rather, just someone you would hate to death.

That one scene they're talking about, where you can see the downside to immortality... Still gives me the heebs and jeebs man... I do have one question about it though... If Angst Theron's character was in the condition she was in by the end of the movie.... Why wasn't the other one, who spent what 500 years, dying probably hundreds or thousands of times a day? It was poorly explained how one reaches the condition of RBF Theron's character was in, even showing someone younger than her being in it, in a flashback, so I just felt confused about how it worked, because if it went on death count, or wound count, then.... That ending shouldn't have happened!

I'm still waiting for that Atomic Blonde sequel. Back in 2017 it was confirmed that a sequel was going to be made because of the unexpected success of Atomic Blonde. It's been 3 years and still no progress was at all made. I'm worried that when the sequel does finally come out it would end up as a Sin City 2 type of situation where they waited so long to release the 2nd movie after the first movie that people already forgot about it and the 2nd movie ends up as box office failure (referring to when Sin City 2 released 9 years after first movie and nobody went to see it).
