The Old Guard has become my new obsession and typically when that happens, I have to make a video for it, so here we are. I had a lot of fun editing and analyzing the fight scenes to find similarities in the fight styles. I also couldn't help but add in some Joe x Nicky scenes here and there, because why not.
I honestly used up just about every last bit of the fight sequences in the movie for this video, like it was down to the wire. I honestly wasn't sure if I was going to get it done. I'm really proud with how it turned out though!

This is SO BADASS!!! Perfect song for this family of (mostly.... usually...) immortals!! Love how everything cuts out briefly at 2:20 while Nile takes Merrick out the window! 😂

Thank you so much!! I'm glad you enjoyed it and the song choice! I was listening to a song from the movie and then my music shuffled to this song after and I was like "its a s i g n" lol That was one of my favorite edits I did (:

I'm beyond obsessed. I need therapy and sad thing is, I am a therapist and I don't know how to get over this obsession, especially with Joe and Nicky. And if you read other social media stuff, people are obsessed with Joe and Nicky. So, those Nicky/Joe scenes are my favorite (except seeing Nicky get shot, but him coming back to life was definitely a relief. Felt Joe's relief.)

I definitely feel that for sure. I've gotten the comics but the first was sold out and the second is pre-ordered so I'm just here.... waiting.... lol Nicky's death is absolutely brutal and it's hard for me to watch, especially while making this video. Joe during that entire scene gives me a lot of feels for sure

The way Luca reaches up and grabs onto Marwan in that scene kills me every time

@@TheBrandiElizabeth at this point I wouldn't be surprised if that was another little thing that luca and marwan decided to add in, like how their lil reassuring headbutt was their own addition to the scene

Tink Oh totally. They created a whole physical language for that relationship and that is great acting. It made the whole thing not just believable but feel right. Is there an interview where they talked about adding that part in that you can link? I would love to see them talk about that process.

@@TheBrandiElizabeth for sure, everything they did was beautiful. And how much those two care for their characters shows so much in their acting, i love it I saw someone quoting Netflix on Twitter on it “one reason they’ve been such a hit stems from the care marwan kenzari & luca marinelli devoted to the duo. for example, this moment when the lovers briefly touch heads to check in with one another after joe is stabbed - the actors came up with that!”
