I for one, like Who Framed Roger Rabbit better than Mary Poppins. First of all, there is plenty more animation in Roger Rabbit than in Mary Poppins. While the cartoon characters in Roger Rabbit get to transport into the real world, the cartoon world in Mary Poppins only lasts for a couple of back-to-back scenes, and then it is never seen again. This makes Mary Poppins's animation feel more lick a gimmick than a part of the story. Also, the detective story in Roger Rabbit gets interesting at times, and I love seeing all the classic cartoons together (especially in the end when Pinocchio arrives). I have a guess for why Mary Poppins became Walt Disney's crowning achievement, but to me, I just like Roger Rabbit better.

I think that if Mary Poppins was the best live action/animation hybrid film during Walt's days, Roger Rabbit was the best live action/animation hybrid film during Michael Eisner's days!

Man, that ticks me off. Sure Frozen was a good movie, but c'mon! Why can't disney make both 2D and 3D. Eventually people will get tired of only seeing 3D movies, and 2D will make some sort of revival. Not anytime soon, but maybe in the next decade, perhaps.

I cannot blame the author for not liking the idea of a Disney movie, considering the fact that Disney leaves out a lot from books on which their movies are based. If anyone has read the original Mary Poppins book, you would know that there were several scenes that were left out - i.e. Jane and Micheal's siblings, the candy shoppe lady and the star scene where Mary and the candy shoppe owner glue cut-out stars to the sky while climbing a ladder leaning on nothing.

Despite his downfall and his hatred towards Sony Pictures Animation (I respect his opinion through.) looking back to the old videos, the quality of the videos has changed. He’ve change too, he became nicer in recent years, but back then he was more serious in the older videos. Since KZbin has change, but I have a deep nostalgia for the old stuff, I decided to look back on his older videos he made in the past. Edit: By the way, the upcoming films didn’t aged well, and King of the Elves didn’t happened.

The wonderful thing about Who Framed Roger Rabbit is that while one is watching it, for a brief time, they are trying to figure out how the people did it...and then after a while, you just say 'screw it' and go with the magic. Roger is real, Mickey and Bugs are real, Eddie Valiant is talking to and interacting with those toons, and it's just magic. Sheer, Timeless magic.

I just noticed that Richard Williams might be like Don Bluth, also responsible for the Disney renaissance. Why???? Because he was the animator director to "Who framed Roger Rabbit", an got Disney into the renaissance. But with what cost. Sadly he have been throwing away on his personal project "The Thief and the Cobbler", mostly after Disney did Aladdin. But still I think he deserved the credit as well.
