Hey Darrin, I hope that it is as wonderful to see your own creation come together and ride it . As onlookers once looked at the boardwalker bikes in the past you get those same looks now as people look in awe of your creations ! Its quite a looker from every little detail from when you were creating it !

The leather brake might benefit from having a multiple layer design, as i see it, it seems like it's a single one. That way, it won't stretch. My lathe brake is made from a piece of leather i found on an old hunting bag, a kevlar strap from an elevator safety mcdoo (ebay has stuff like that for cheap) and a brass outer layer, 1.2 mm thick. All riveted with leather rivets. And a nice D ring on the pulling end. Doesn't stretch, grips really good (i can stop a 6 kg chuck from top speed faster than you can say Mississippi).

Like the look of that first bike. Nice stretched frame and cool gas tank you made for it. And it sounds just like an old 2-stroke motorcycle. You should start a motorized bike club and have regular meet ups. Old Whizzer guy who showed up at the end would probably be keen to join.
