I am an old white man & I remember these very things. We were waiting for Sunday to go to church. No cell phones, video games, Fast food.... Chicken & dressing on the table, collards, speckled butterbeans % peach cobbler... Those were the days... Jesus is coming soon Children...

As kids both black and white decades ago down in Mississippi we all played, fished, swam in the creeks together. It was ( and still is) the hateful few from all groups that teach division and prejudice. The old time ways of humility and the love of God needs to return to America.

@@victorparker308 Victor, I totally agree with you. I remember when Blacks & Whites would be in a dance hall dancing to the Thunderbirds, all laughing & having fun. When the hall closed, everybody seemed to flip. Music is the universal language & God is the Father of all of us. We are all Brothers & Sisters in Christ.... God Bless you....

@@edgarbledsoe3554 Black & White but we are brothers in this wonderful culture and nation of America. God gave man the gift of making music. It brought us together in the 20th century. The secular music of the turbulent 1950s, 60s, and 70s tought us tolerance and togetherness. Gospel music thought us love and to embrace our shared religious roots. Country music the joy's of life and endurance thru hard times. We seem lost here in 2021, but this too will pass and the lord will reassert his hand over his beloved America. Peace be with you my brother & god may bless you and your loved ones.

I am not as old but I am old enough to remember my Daddy and that firm one time call to get up it was daylight and time to get busy there wasn’t a second call unless your britches went light but I am the youngest of nine and oh what I would give for those Sundays going to church and the Holy Ghost and then sitting round the table all of us just some wonderful memories and blessed to know those gone on are waiting on the rest of us on that Home Coming Thank God for this beautiful song to help us remember how blessed we were and kids don’t have a clue how those days were Thank You Lord for those days and Faith for now

We worshiped with good folks in Louisiana ... even though we were segregated we all still went to church will all ethnic groups.. God didn’t separate our lives... God don’t see color cause we all bleed red... love my brothers and sisters cause we all are Gods children .. beautiful singing

❤❤❤❤That's right I was raised to respect your elders no matter what skin color. Those were the BEST DAYS, oh how Our Country has fallen over the past 40 years 😢, 💔. Glad I didn't have drugs or alcohol in our home, nor smoking..

Takes me back. We never locked our doors unless we were going away for a day or more, then we hung the key on the side of the door frame where anybody lookin' could find it. My father and mother were also of the 'if the church doors are open we're there', school of thinking, that meant Sunday morning, often having guests over for Sunday dinner, then Sunday evening church, and Thursday evening prayer meeting. There other thing that amazes me looking back is the way our parents trusted us even as little kids. My and my 3 buddies would often disappear on our bikes for hours and hours, and nobody worried about us. Once we biked about 5 miles to a river, found an old dead tree, got on it and floated downstream a mile or so, then hiked back to our bikes soakin' wet and rode home. Nobody even asked us where we were all day. Safety, there was safety.

I love this because I wish I could have life as it was back then. Now we have drugs, starving homeless and unemployement. The Holy Ghost needs to come into the hearts of the lost and find the glory and joy of Jesus! Hallelujah, we that know the Lord know love, joy and the prosperity of Jesus in our life. I'm 67 white girl from La. Love this. yep thats the way & I grew up during integration & there wasn't all the fighting that the few things we saw on tv back then. We all got along in school & before integration. The blacks did not want to give up their schools & understandable... they gave up a lot..It caused them anger.. I'm not saying that is what caused so much contention between the races, its not.... It was politics & desire for greed & power within those ranks is my opinion...& everyones got one.....All the black people we knew were very religious, & were not ashamed of being black. They knew who they were. Gods Children as we all are. & as a whole still do. Thank you for sharing. We will all with Gods help & following Our Saviors teachings will get back to all knowing who we all are, God children literal spirit brother & sisters....with the potential to become like them .. I believe the purpose of the difference in color, is a test our obedience to the commandment to Love one another! Again thanks for the song. really brought me back at a time we need this. May we all help other remember the good times when America believe in God & lived the commandments. Love God & Keep the Sabbath Holy & Love one another.

Beautiful story. I will add though.. "Black" people.. are the American Indians.. tribe of Israel if I'm not mistaken.. just look into it. And yes everyone can be grafted in if you repent and get saved. Only those who do that are God Jesus children. Be blessed today

I’m late, but I was born on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. As a white kid who loved African American gospel music, I would listen to the music from Black churches. It was such a joy when I could get my dad to take me to one of the churches just up the road from Tilghman Is., Maryland. Local radio stations played their music and I recorded it on a reel to reel machine. Great memories.

I never saw people as white or black. I guess because I grew up poor. I saw people as rich or poor, Christian or non Christian. We had kids in our church from Trinidad, India, England, and other places. We just were taught to love and respect each other. That’s it. I hope I taught my children as well as my mother taught me. Love God and Love one another as Christ loved us. ❤️

...***Greetings, Beloved of God. This message is lengthy but, it is very important. The ancient Israelites was tested by the Sabbath commandment to see if they would keep God’s law or no in Exodus 16:4- Do not be surprised if God allow man to do a similar test, enforce some type of Sabbath law to see if we will keep His law or no. ************************************************ Right now, we all do not see eye to eye, but, please hear me out.............. There is no way anyone can prove from the KJV Bible that Saturday, Sunday, etc. is the biblical seventh day Sabbaths. For, the words Saturday, Sunday, etc. do not appear in the Bible. A continuous Saturday, Sunday, etc., “man made Sabbaths” ARE NOT the true Bible Sabbaths because they are not calculated by true time. God’s true time is written in Genesis 1:14. When God commanded us to keep a seventh day Sabbath, kill the Passover on the 14th day of the first month, keep the day of atonement on the 10th day of the seventh month, etc......would He not have given us a calendar/Time to find these dates? Yes, He would have and He did, in Genesis 1:14. We are commanded to keep the days, years, etc. by the lights in heaven (the sun, moon and stars.) God did not specify which days, so, we must conclude that He meant for all of His 3 category of days to be kept by the lights in heaven. *********** The Sabbath command is one of the Ten Commandments listed in Exodus 20. It is just as important as the other nine and God commands us to keep it. Multitudes of people think and teach that we are only required to keep 9 of God’s Ten Commandments. My Friend, if we think this way, we are already deceived. ***The Sabbath is a feast. Leviticus 23:1-3 ***The moon is for seasons. Psalms 104:19 ***The lights in heaven are for seasons, etc. Genesis 1:14 ***The words “feast” and “season” comes from the same Hebrew word, MOED. ***MOED is, appointed times, appointments, feast, season, etc. The Sabbath is a MOED, an appointed time , a feast, a season, etc. Therefore, the moon, along with the other lights in heaven, are for Sabbaths. THE SABBATH IS TO BE CALCULATED BY THE TIME GOD ORDAINED IN THE BEGINNING OF CREATION NOT BY MAN’S TIME/CALENDARS. Who can prove from Genesis 1:14 that the Sabbath day is not calculated by the lights in heaven? Although many have tried, it cannot be refuted!! Take a glimpse at the dates in Genesis 7:11 and Genesis 8:4,13,14. Are these dates calculated by the Time God commanded in Genesis 1:14 or by the Gregorian time or some other man made time? ********** There are about 167 countries that keep Sunday as the seventh day and the remaining, approximately, 64 countries keep Saturday as the seventh day. If there is a “seventh day Sunday law” enforced and the remaining 64 countries change their calendars to read Sunday as the seventh day, then, the world will be keeping Sunday the seventh day as the Sabbath. Mon. Tue. Wed. Thur. Fri. Sat. Sunday 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7 What day will you and I then keep as the Sabbath? Already today, there are “Sunday Blue Laws” on government books. Man can change “their” time anytime and deceive the world under the leadership of Satan. We must calculate God’s Sabbath by God’s Time so The Great Deceiver can not trick us about the true Sabbath and “cause” us to worship him. “ He will think to change time and laws.” says Daniel 7:25 He only “THOUGHT” to change time when He “supposedly” had replaced God’s calendar with his calendar on earth. For he could not and has not truly change time because God’s Time sits in the heavens where no man can tamper with it! The sun, moon and stars, the lights in heaven, are God’s Time/Calendar. *********** God’s Calendar has three category of days, the new moon day, the six work days and the Sabbath day. 2 Kings 4:18-23 & Ezekiel 46:1-3. The new moon day is the first day of the month, the beginning of months. These days never, ever, ever overlaps each other on God’s Time! ........However, this is not true on the famous Gregorian calendar. The new moon day falls anywhere and everywhere on that calendar, in a given month. For example, sometimes, the new moon day falls on a “man made Saturday Sabbath”, on a “man made Sunday Sabbath”, in the midst of the month, etc. How can it both be the first day of the month and the seventh day Sabbath? How can the first day of the month start in the midst of a month? God said in Genesis 1:14 to, let the lights in heaven be for days, etc. So, which one or ones of God’s three category of days are kept by the lights in heaven? ...The new moon day? ...The six work days? ...The Sabbath day? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Example of God’s months: 1st week... new moon day, six work days and Sabbath day 2nd, 3rd, 4th weeks....six work days and Sabbath day The next month the cycle starts over. God’s months reset. Read Luke 6:1 Man uses this same concept. For example: The 1st and 3rd Sunday in August, the 1st and 3rd Sunday in September.” “The 2nd and 4th Sabbath in April, the 2nd and 4th Sabbath in May.” Note: There is never, never, ever, ever, 5 weekly Sabbaths in any one of God’s months. This is not true on the Gregorian calendar. Sometimes, there are 5 weekly “Gregorian Sabbaths.” This is not in align with true time. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I believe there is a great deception coming to get people to worship Satan through a false Calendar/Sabbath controversy. God is a God of truth. God guides people by His truth. God’s Word is truth. Truth is our shield and buckler. Truth will keep us from all deceptions, the mark of beast, etc. Christ did not suffer on the cross for us to walk in a lie and continue to cling to our traditions! He did not die for us to keep obeying the “voice of man” above “the voice of God!” Read the stories about “King Saul” in 1 Samuel 15 and the “man of God” in 1 king 13. Let us learn a lesson from these testimonies....Obey God’s Voice! When we do and teach man’s commandments for doctrine, it is vain! It is useless! God does not honor it! There will be no reward! Again! there is a great possibility some type of “Man made Sabbath Law” could be enforced. These latter days crises seems to be pointing in that direction. If this is not true, then, we do not have to worry about it......But..... ....If it is truth then, we need to become more knowledgeable about this subject in order to make the right decision whom we will honor and serve. A Sabbath test will reveal those who believe Gods Word in Genesis 1:14 and those who do not believe His Word. Whether there is or whether there is not a “Sabbath Test”, we still need to know the truth about God’s Time written in the Word of God so we can be obedient in all things. ***Worship Him that made heaven, earth and sea. ***Babylon is fallen! Babylon is fallen! ***Do not worship the Beast and receive his mark, whosoever does, will be eternal lost and be burnt with fire and brimstones. ****Read Revelation 13 & 14 This truth about God’s Calendar/Time and The Sabbath written in Genesis 1:14, Leviticus 23:1-3, Psalms 104:19, etc.is spreading throughout the four corners of the earth. This message enrages many who claim to be followers of Christ because they can not refute it. It seems, the people outside the church buildings are the ones eagerly accepting it and believing it. Please let us consider what is being said here and further research this important subject before it is to late. Peace and Love Friends of God

@@grannysword The Bible was written so common people could understand. There is no way a common person could possibly understand what you just presented. The day doesnt matter but the heart does. It’s simply the seventh day principle. God rested on the seventh day after six days of work. So should we as we set that day aside to rest and worship.It’s that simple. Trying to keep the 10 commandments are impossible for salvation, but they point out clearly our need for a savior who was and is the spotless lamb that was slain for our sins.

I wasn't here back in the old days but I been told a lot about them and even though I'm over 50 I thank God for bringing me this far and seeing how the world has changed so drastically its just sad you can't really walk the streets without hearing gunshots and with this deadly pandemic going on as well I pray for this world everyday and we all need to go back to the old days and maybe God will bless and heal this land God bless us all.

I’m 42 years old, and I remember them days. We didn’t have a choice whether we went or not. The only way we stayed home was if we were throwing up, and only mom would stay with us, and dad went on and took the rest of us. We had preachers that would preach the word of God straight with love, and would sometimes get all up in your business as the Holy Ghost gave them what to preach. They would call you down if need be in service. My Pastor, and his wife still talk about the preachers of old, look back on it with fond memories. I will say I’m blessed to attend a church that follows holiness, and the old time way. They preach Holiness is right, and you won’t get to heaven any other way.

My uncle used to wear the same overalls be up before the chickens chopping wood, feeding the animals i remember He would tell me about the blessings from on high . After he passed The lord gave me a song to sing (John P. Kee) there's a lily in the valley and the older man in the background reminds me of my uncle singing in church We must love and respect our older generations that because ❤🌹😥 because we will get to be old one day if we live right because the lord does take of his own

I'm 62 and my Dad was a pastor. He took us in NC to many, many brothers and sisters that were colored which doesn't mean a dam thing and I love old preacher willis!!Willis!!! Wonderful times and I'm white, Cherokee, Scottish. God BLESS THESE MEN!!!!!!!

Thank u so much. I wish I could hear more ole gospel music. I'm not saying this gospel music sounds bad, it's just ole gospel music put more better. Especially if u were raised on ole gospel music. I remember how the rain would drop on the roof and how the roof would be leaking and we would still be singing and the sound of the rain sound would sing right along with us. .....***Greetings, Beloved of God. This message is lengthy but, it is very important. The ancient Israelites was tested by the Sabbath commandment to see if they would keep God’s law or no in Exodus 16:4- Do not be surprised if God allow man to do a similar test, enforce some type of Sabbath law to see if we will keep His law or no. ************************************************ Right now, we all do not see eye to eye, but, please hear me out.............. There is no way anyone can prove from the KJV Bible that Saturday, Sunday, etc. is the biblical seventh day Sabbaths. For, the words Saturday, Sunday, etc. do not appear in the Bible. A continuous Saturday, Sunday, etc., “man made Sabbaths” ARE NOT the true Bible Sabbaths because they are not calculated by true time. God’s true time is written in Genesis 1:14. When God commanded us to keep a seventh day Sabbath, kill the Passover on the 14th day of the first month, keep the day of atonement on the 10th day of the seventh month, etc......would He not have given us a calendar/Time to find these dates? Yes, He would have and He did, in Genesis 1:14. We are commanded to keep the days, years, etc. by the lights in heaven (the sun, moon and stars.) God did not specify which days, so, we must conclude that He meant for all of His 3 category of days to be kept by the lights in heaven. *********** The Sabbath command is one of the Ten Commandments listed in Exodus 20. It is just as important as the other nine and God commands us to keep it. Multitudes of people think and teach that we are only required to keep 9 of God’s Ten Commandments. My Friend, if we think this way, we are already deceived. ***The Sabbath is a feast. Leviticus 23:1-3 ***The moon is for seasons. Psalms 104:19 ***The lights in heaven are for seasons, etc. Genesis 1:14 ***The words “feast” and “season” comes from the same Hebrew word, MOED. ***MOED is, appointed times, appointments, feast, season, etc. The Sabbath is a MOED, an appointed time , a feast, a season, etc. Therefore, the moon, along with the other lights in heaven, are for Sabbaths. THE SABBATH IS TO BE CALCULATED BY THE TIME GOD ORDAINED IN THE BEGINNING OF CREATION NOT BY MAN’S TIME/CALENDARS. Who can prove from Genesis 1:14 that the Sabbath day is not calculated by the lights in heaven? Although many have tried, it cannot be refuted!! Take a glimpse at the dates in Genesis 7:11 and Genesis 8:4,13,14. Are these dates calculated by the Time God commanded in Genesis 1:14 or by the Gregorian time or some other man made time? ********** There are about 167 countries that keep Sunday as the seventh day and the remaining, approximately, 64 countries keep Saturday as the seventh day. If there is a “seventh day Sunday law” enforced and the remaining 64 countries change their calendars to read Sunday as the seventh day, then, the world will be keeping Sunday the seventh day as the Sabbath. Mon. Tue. Wed. Thur. Fri. Sat. Sunday 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7 What day will you and I then keep as the Sabbath? Already today, there are “Sunday Blue Laws” on government books. Man can change “their” time anytime and deceive the world under the leadership of Satan. We must calculate God’s Sabbath by God’s Time so The Great Deceiver can not trick us about the true Sabbath and “cause” us to worship him. “ He will think to change time and laws.” says Daniel 7:25 He only “THOUGHT” to change time when He “supposedly” had replaced God’s calendar with his calendar on earth. For he could not and has not truly change time because God’s Time sits in the heavens where no man can tamper with it! The sun, moon and stars, the lights in heaven, are God’s Time/Calendar. *********** God’s Calendar has three category of days, the new moon day, the six work days and the Sabbath day. 2 Kings 4:18-23 & Ezekiel 46:1-3. The new moon day is the first day of the month, the beginning of months. These days never, ever, ever overlaps each other on God’s Time! ........However, this is not true on the famous Gregorian calendar. The new moon day falls anywhere and everywhere on that calendar, in a given month. For example, sometimes, the new moon day falls on a “man made Saturday Sabbath”, on a “man made Sunday Sabbath”, in the midst of the month, etc. How can it both be the first day of the month and the seventh day Sabbath? How can the first day of the month start in the midst of a month? God said in Genesis 1:14 to, let the lights in heaven be for days, etc. So, which one or ones of God’s three category of days are kept by the lights in heaven? ...The new moon day? ...The six work days? ...The Sabbath day? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Example of God’s months: 1st week... new moon day, six work days and Sabbath day 2nd, 3rd, 4th weeks....six work days and Sabbath day The next month the cycle starts over. God’s months reset. Read Luke 6:1 Man uses this same concept. For example: The 1st and 3rd Sunday in August, the 1st and 3rd Sunday in September.” “The 2nd and 4th Sabbath in April, the 2nd and 4th Sabbath in May.” Note: There is never, never, ever, ever, 5 weekly Sabbaths in any one of God’s months. This is not true on the Gregorian calendar. Sometimes, there are 5 weekly “Gregorian Sabbaths.” This is not in align with true time. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I believe there is a great deception coming to get people to worship Satan through a false Calendar/Sabbath controversy. God is a God of truth. God guides people by His truth. God’s Word is truth. Truth is our shield and buckler. Truth will keep us from all deceptions, the mark of beast, etc. Christ did not suffer on the cross for us to walk in a lie and continue to cling to our traditions! He did not die for us to keep obeying the “voice of man” above “the voice of God!” Read the stories about “King Saul” in 1 Samuel 15 and the “man of God” in 1 king 13. Let us learn a lesson from these testimonies....Obey God’s Voice! When we do and teach man’s commandments for doctrine, it is vain! It is useless! God does not honor it! There will be no reward! Again! there is a great possibility some type of “Man made Sabbath Law” could be enforced. These latter days crises seems to be pointing in that direction. If this is not true, then, we do not have to worry about it......But..... ....If it is truth then, we need to become more knowledgeable about this subject in order to make the right decision whom we will honor and serve. A Sabbath test will reveal those who believe Gods Word in Genesis 1:14 and those who do not believe His Word. Whether there is or whether there is not a “Sabbath Test”, we still need to know the truth about God’s Time written in the Word of God so we can be obedient in all things. ***Worship Him that made heaven, earth and sea. ***Babylon is fallen! Babylon is fallen! ***Do not worship the Beast and receive his mark, whosoever does, will be eternal lost and be burnt with fire and brimstones. ****Read Revelation 13 & 14 This truth about God’s Calendar/Time and The Sabbath written in Genesis 1:14, Leviticus 23:1-3, Psalms 104:19, etc.is spreading throughout the four corners of the earth. This message enrages many who claim to be followers of Christ because they can not refute it. It seems, the people outside the church buildings are the ones eagerly accepting it and believing it. Please let us consider what is being said here and further research this important subject before it is to late. Peace and Love Friends of God
