I'm glad this mother daughter story has a happy ending. At first, I was like the main girl, I thought her step mother was like the step mother from Cinderella. Her aunt was a cold bloodied person but, I guess her Dad's wife was scared and didn't know how to be a mother. When she stood up for her and explained why she treated her the way she did, I was shocked like her. Her step mom is new to motherhood. She's still learning how to be a mother.
