I am glad I am not the only having this problem. It is still pretty bad, even without earphones. I think out of all the live shows I've seen, this is probably the worse. But I imagine this is probably one of the first ones they did with a live audience. I can't remember any others in this campaign. I know they did a lot more with C2, but sound was better.

If I'm playing with a group who does this a lot, I start rolling up characters who play against that. My character in a one-shot was a military officer and I actually ended up having him tell two arguing party members to "gear up and fall the f*** in." Worked a charm.

@@reloadpsi helps to just act like a player is the leader as dm. Either they step up or someone else recognizes the need for leadership and takes the mantle for themselves. It's a great DM tool.

You get to sit around while people are planning until its time to gear up and move out, or there's a point where they go round and round where because of your military experience, they listen to you when you tell them its time to march and 'this' is the plan.

It's a crap situation all around. The group NEEDS her as the only Cleric in the party, plus the likelihood of facing undead is really high so Pike's radiant damage would be incredibly useful. ALSO Pike is one of the party members who got blessed by a God specifically for this Vecna fight. Leaving her would completely kill the point of going to Sarenrae. This kind of tough situation is why I didn't think anything of it when the group went to hell without her even though Pike said to not go without her.

Have to say, the level of self-satisfaction Liam achieves with the whole segment from 00:24:30 to 01:03:27 is goals. Like that's the kind of achievement one aspires to. Clearly he knew he was going to pull something on Sam going into this, but I don't think he could have expected quite how well it went. And Sam Riegel. Truly a master of playing the bit to the hilt and deeper still. Whipping up that song while the plotting was happening (you can see him start writing it) and then everything that followed was amazing. Thank you.

I looks like Sam was adjusting and editing his song during the show. He would have brought the song already prepared, just like Liam had waited to spring the love potion on Sam for the live show. Liam being Sams BFF would have known that Sam would love the chance to be centre of attention. What I love about the whole love potion scene is how every character was involved and had their moment. This is pure theatre sports...with a few dice rolls. My fav episode ever.

I started on campaign 2, and that was my exact reaction to seeing Sam's purple outfit during the first(?) Live show. I'd heard them reference "the cube", but I'd never understood what they were talking about (or I wasn't paying enough attention and missed it), and I was so confused. It took me forever to figure out what in the ever loving world he was doing.
