A small correction. The 8 tap pounces produces 10% bleed out of no where. It is not double damage. I got tied up in my head and only realised just now.

So essentially omni/utah is just a bigger fatter troodon with less dps but more survivability. I like it a lot. Probably not a lot less dps either because these numbers were tested against a non-moving target, harshly reducing the amount of bleed loss. The damage is consistent too and not reliant on timers and stacks.

I’ve been using this strat since update 4.5. ScopeOG found this out on stream back then and I was there watching. He spoke with the devs and this is actually intended. The devs actually removed the initial bleed when update 5 dropped iirc but they quickly added it back in. Granted it’s only when you latch onto something now and not when you pin something.

The issue is that if you don't buck they will just stay on for the extra bleed. So it is a catch 22. You buck the game sometimes stops you moving. If you don't they get a longer pounce for free.

Well Tap pouncing has come back. Unfortunately my health has been too bad to properly test stuff, but we could see a return on tap pounce. Best thing to note though you want to use tap pouncing to make the opponent not buck, hence you can go for longer pounces. It creates a mind game where there is not one. Just for that comment I will try and see how good the tap pounce is now this weekend and post what I find.

Each bleed is its own stack. Everytime you pounce it adds a new bleed. You can have multiple. This is why tap pouncing is so good because you can quickly stack multiple bleeds that run at the same time.

I get pouned for hours and record the results. I then make graphs on the data form bleed start to bleed end and then try to find patterns. This is how I found tap pouncing from a strange pattern I found. I will do a video to explain this if you are interested.

I would not risk it. If you are very good at getting bites it can work. However if you encounter anyone who can deal with it and counter it you will die.

Pretty much, the game also has a little hiccup as 1 second is long enough to start buck but the game stop it as the Omni dismounts.

If you buck you will still drain like 30-40% of their stamina even if they only hold on for ~1 second, how is that useless?

@@TheHuffur Unfortunately you can't buck if they tap pounce. I will be more than happy to test this for you and see if I missed something. From my pounce tests If you try to hold buck from the start the game keeps you in place as it tries to buck as the second second starts. This actually allows for another Omni to buck.

A tap pounce is a one second pounce. I will have a video up tomorrow that shows everything in detail. I have learned from feedback that people want to see more, hence my other 2 videos have no overlays(I myself nerd out over data).
