God heard the prayers of my family and sent me here by sheer fate... I cried when you spoke of your life of sacrifice your childhood for nothing. I hated seeing my friends score much better than me without half the sacrifices i made. I am currently in the stage of being hurt and limiting myself.I feel understood. Thankyou

thank you so much for your motivation and I can feel the speech is coming directly from your heart without any prep! you are amazing! I am a dentist and I am in my final year of specialising in paediatric dentistry. I am trying to do all the steps but even if I give each topic 15 min, I won't finish my revision timetable !! I can't go faster than this, maybe there are other ways to manage my massive notes and to remember all the details. could you please give us advice about how to revise in more details. thank you again for your great videos and your effort. all the best🤍
@jun_yuh
@jun_yuh 6 ай бұрын
Hi, first of all wow so proud of you!!! This is amazing and you should be very proud of yourself too :) in regards to revision, I really do believe the more you can effectively do the first three stages, the less time you’ll need for revision. This is especially important in curriculums like yours with so much content! The cadence I use for my learning system is topic-by-topic. Meaning when I prime, I’m doing it ahead of 3-6 classes which will allow me to take concise yet effective notes in each of them by just having spent about 60-90 minutes priming initially. Since you’ve properly prepared leading into your classes, you’ll have a much better ability to quickly and deeply process the information. With all the linkages you form to your big picture, you’ll find that your retention is much better than it otherwise would be. This way you won’t need to revise as much! For stage 4, ensure you are using spaced repetition and interleaving for your diagram III and active recall applications

yes it does, but what i would if i ordered the book is use the book as a guide and write in a another notebook and use it like that. that why u can use it for future and be better investment too :)
@jun_yuh
@jun_yuh 6 ай бұрын
you are so kind! the book is actually broken down into topics so there is a space for you to write down which topic and class it is for so you can use it across your classes however you'd like! this way you can also keep track of how you are filling out the book! in the case of easy elective classes, perhaps you only use the book for a few important topics, but for those content heavy classes you can use it for all your topics! hope this helps :)

Hi Jun! I watched both of your videos on this learning system but still have some questions. 1) are my diagrams for stage 3 and 4 suppose to be really detailed or just brief? 2) what is the timeline i should follow for stage 4, when should i sit down to revise and how do i utilize spaced repetition? Please reply to these questions as soon as you can. And again loved your vidoes, their quality and all the in depth explaination. 😊

Hi, id like to see if I'm able to answer some of your questions, after the encoding stage(mind maps and getting and understanding for the material) is when you will be doing the spaced repetition/active recall section of your studying, as these are the techniques that will enable you to not only have a better understanding of the material but more importantly better remember what you have learned. for number 1 of your query, i dont really know, id have to watch the video myself since i haven't done that as of replying to you rn.

usually when i hear this issue from a student it is pointing to the fact that they have naturally good processing abilities but fail to use effective techniques. in other words, when you were younger and in less intensive studies, you were able to do really well still with ineffective techniques. however, when you get to more intensive classes and have more of them simultaneously (late secondary school, university, post grad, etc.), the ineffective techniques make it really hard to do well. i would advise you to look into other ones to help you moving forward!

hi! i've certainly been there before! it's hard to give you a specific answer without knowing all the details of your situation, but i assume there is room for you to improve on your techniques across the four stages. i assume what you are doing is what i used to do which is skip priming, take ineffective notes, and then have to learn the material from scratch when you go to revise. i would encourage you to watch the previous youtube video which goes over how i now execute the four stages now. hope that helps :)

I study in an online programme, basically there are recorded vids of the course and also live sessions that helps os doubt, i have maths as my subject and I find it hard to do maths, the learning system u do is hard for me to do, like i don't know i should approach a system like primming and in class notes, can u give me some advice
@jun_yuh
@jun_yuh 6 ай бұрын
of course i can help! so whether or not you have classes online or in-person, the system remains the same. your main learning event (aka your class) is your recorded videos. you will prime before that with your textbook or other online resources. then you can use your live sessions as part of stage 3 or 4 depending on when they are scheduled. math is certainly more procedural then other subjects, but you still need to understand the concepts before diving into practice. if you don't and just fixate on each technique individually, you will not be prepared to extrapolate the techniques from your memory when solving inference problems in the future (if you are not already required to do that now). in other words, you want these math techniques to help solve problems where it's not clear which one to use. by priming and understanding the big picture, you will be better equipped to do that. then for stage 4, you will focused a ton on procedural practice using past papers, homeworks, etc.

hi! i'm so sorry! unfortunately, as a small US business, we do not have distribution companies abroad. however, we did prioritize partnering with companies that make international shipments possible so that if someone wanted one, they at least had an option to! the goal in the future is to grow bigger as a business and have distribution centers in multiple countries to lower the costs. sorry about that in the meantime!

What are your opinions on listening to music while studying..?
@marcelthiel1
@marcelthiel1 6 ай бұрын
I don't think you need an "opinion" on that. Music with lyrics reduces your learning efficiency. Lofi isn't clear how it affects the learning process. If you need sound in the background, try brown noise or white noise (or any kind of noise you like), that actually boosts your focus and your learning abilities! 👍🏻
@Doctorkhs
@Doctorkhs 6 ай бұрын
I also agree, usually I avoid listening to music to decrease the unnecessary dopamine. For work, I listen to 40hz binaural beats before working and sometimes listen to phonk for very repetitive tasks, which boosts my dopamine when I do repetitive tasks, which you can also try
