Nick, I am impressed with your stinger. I used to design cars, and AMS built my wife's Galant VR4 back in the day. We have had too many special muscle and sport compact cars to list, but our love for these rolling works of art still exists, despite our only fun car being a Kia forte with a stick. Long story. But that new gt forte has my attention. What a value! Cant afford the 2.5 big block Hyundai Elantra coming out next year, and I really want a stick. But between the looks, performance and value I think I will enjoy it immensely. Please do a video on the new forte gt. I will do mine in stages. Stage one- K&N, tornado, reflash. So much fun! I recommend tinting the windows if it's a daily as it helps to keep the car cool and not ruining the leather interior.

I have the red 2018 stinger GT2 and have carbon fiber whole outside. Tinted windows. OZ racing wheels. New Michelin 19s. Slotted and drilled rotors, high performance intercooler, cold air intakes, dual blow offs. And chipped ecu. Car is bad ass!!! People pulling me up constantly asking me what it is. I also rebadged it with the E. Also put heavy duty sway bars in back and front, and am waiting on new ck71 LEDs for the front vent corners. Also put a 360 camera in dash, a cannas controller that locks doors automatically and unlocks. Closes sunroof automatically. I run 93 octane all the time and put bestline fuel treatment that takes gas to 100 octane. Also put 1 quart of bestline engine treatment for reduced friction, which allows my oil to run 5 degrees cooler. Car is a beast. Estimated 500+ hp, and torque is off the charts. Love this car. Garaged right now for the winter, but today is a nice day so I'm gonna run it for a few hours. Thanks guys, nice video. Ps. Forgot the lighted door sills, puddle lights, and rear diffuser. Also, the Borla cat back exhaust and Borla carbon fiber tips. #BADASS

Man kdm scene has cone along way since I had my bagged optima back in 2013!! I was the only one in Australia with a fully modded kia and it even had the guys at kia teaching the apprentices talking about it from across the country lol It's great to see it grow so much though!! No longer in the kdm scene but maybe droptima will make a come back one day

I did that to my Red Stinger. All black chrome either painted or wrapped in gloss black. The black chrome is super hard to keep clean unfortunately. Going to do the centered Stinger logo in the back in black as well when it's warm again.

You can remove glue/residue with disinfectant wipes, I have used them to remove unwanted dealer decals. And it won't mess up the paint.

If you plan on getting the car tuned go with a lap 3 pro tuner lap 3 has been tuning/building korean cars for years since the early 2000's, they also had the kia stinger a year earlier then the rest of the world in Korea, so they have had more time to do research and development on the kia stinger and rn they have the most hp for the kia stinger at 600whp on stock internals with their upgraded turbos but even on stock turbos they are making the most power and making the most reliable and smooth power too

I don't know if you have every tried, but to remove stickers and glue. I usually soak it for 5 minutes with WD-40 and then use a plastic scraper or something that doesn't scratch the paint. It comes right off on the first pass... or reapply as need if it was thick glue.

Nice, I don’t care what any one says, the new products from KIA are really nice. Wifey Had a 2016 opitima that was nice for the price. Got to drive the optioned up one and it was a totally different car. The stingers are sweat looking though. Love the new badges. The back now looks like the rear badge of a Maserati. Coworker bought a new telluride and did the same thing to his badges. His were the Korean version but they didn’t look like that. Maybe the stinger has its own. Love that color to. Maybe time to trade in the Acura ILX. Lol.

HKS spark plugs are just rebranded NGK plugs. NEVER used spark plugs that DON'T come with the protective sleeve to protect the gap. Denso or NGK plugs FTW

dunno if any1 is ever going to read this but there are chemicals (some sort of citrus thingy) u can use for removing old glue instead of doing it with a pad like this, and u can also use paintthinner but i wouldnt advise for it. the citrus thingy u spray on and let sit for a min, and wipes off with a few passes no problem

I own a 2019 Ceramic Silver GT2 and replaced those badges throughout the car before wrapping the body with Expel. The biggest issue with these GT Stingers is battery drain. It’s a problem KIA has yet to remedy and recall.

Interesting? Hmm...what exactly interesting? Well, good for you. Possibly you drive a lot more than I do. In any case, this is an issue with Stingers, KIA Corp is well aware of the issue (They’ve assigned me a customer success representative out of their Corp office in Irvine, CA). The rep assigned to me said he’s dealing with 12 Stingers having these issues and he’s just one rep out of many handling these Stinger battery failure issues. My own dealership has been replacing Stinger batteries due to parasitic drain. In fact, the dealership replaced my battery today. It’s still at the dealership because the brand new one they took off the shelf and installed in my car was drained as well. So, tonight they’re charging that battery and tomorrow they’ll determine if it holds the charge. Once it discharges below a certain level it’s no longer safe to maintain, because the computer will start to shut down safety features to save power.

Rickie RunningSolo I just got back from my KIA dealership after they replaced the battery. The technician who’s been assigned to Stinger GT’s said KIA didn’t plan for a a better designs battery to ameliorated parasitic drain. Most Stinger drivers like me apparently don’t drive as long nor the distances needed to maintain charge. If you drive a lot, you should be fine. If engine stop and start, along with some safety features start to fail, it’s the battery and not the alternator.
