They are a awesome bit of kit, the Queensland Police just took delivery of a dozen of em for Highway Patrol and Pursuit use to replace the aging but last of the mighty Aussie Muscle Car's from Ford with the Falcon XR6 Turbo and XR8 as well the last of the V8's GM Holden's Commodore SS and GTS.

If Korea keeps up the pace they are improving their cars with for another 5-10 years...no petrol head will care about German cars anymore. i30 N: best (value) hot hatch, Stinger: best value 4 seater GT, Hyundai Ioniq: most efficient eco car, Hyundai Nexo: world first commercialised fuel cell car, … meanwhile German brands have been sitting on their lazy asses instead of innovating / evolving.

@@JeansJackenJohnny Well the Stinger 3.3L was engineered basically by BMW if you consider the M division engineer Albert Biermann designed the Stinger. So....I would argue its every bit as good as a ZF transmission.

if you turn off the traction and stability control the transmission will hold gears and it wont upshift by itself for any Stinger/G70 owner.

...well done...a great review of a great car...thanks for this full English version...the upcoming new 2021 Stinger will have the enhanced muffler, larger stock HP and newer engines, a larger 10.25 in screen,, and very cool redesigned full LEDs throughout the entire width of the new rear LED lamp assembly..

This is a car ive been thinking about. Here in Australia we get manual gearboxes and rear wheel drive. Something to replace our commodore and falcon which arent being made anymore. Great vid, keep it up.

Kia Stingers are an amazing First Attempt at a GT car. Remember when people would not want to spend 10k more for a special Toyota (lexus) all a brand has to do is spend the money on R and D Get the right team in and test test test and they can compete with anyone. Kia is going through a rebrand. Won't be long before this badge gets the attention of the badge snobs also. Thoroughly great car manufacturer.

Also its not like he said that the exhaust will be closed during the rpm. It has to be quiet up to 70kmh, because the measuring for the driving noises here in Germany goes from 50 to 70kmh, that's the reason that the exhaust valves will only open after 70kmh. The button he said , is to mute the exhaust, so that it won't open any more or opens depending if you're going over 70kmh. There's a remote controller from Bastuck for this exhaust. It costs 99 Euro and than you can open it whenever you want. But in Germany it's not legal...

Good point. I think they wanted a halo car I had a rear wheel drive GT for a couple years and I think they are low 500 nm standard. I never modded mine but was really a 9/10 car to own and run. Think Ev6 GT is probability the halo car now.

Nice car, I like the modifications made to it. Only two issues with the Stinger in my opinion are 1 the price. For the Kia Stinger GT2 in the US is around $51,000.00 a little to high for a Kia. And 2 Kia vehicles don't have the biggest fuel tanks so you may fuel up more times then you want to. Especially if your running 93 octane.$$$$$

Chroom op auto's is van vroeger (tot ongeveer begin jaren 80), ik heb de paar chroomrandjes bij mijn Sierra kunnen vervangen met zwarte lijsten van een andere uitvoering. Klasse film werk :-), alleen jammer van de harde muziek aan het begin :-(

And I forgot to say... he will never have 450hp .. also 750nm is not possible. It has stock 370hp and 510nm. If you use the performance exhaust and a racechip you maybe will get 430 to 435 hp and about 650nm. But not 750... I think he is just there for driving and showing the car. The technical details are not this best ... and to the gearbox, it will go back to the automatic shifting after 15 seconds .

Actually with just a Lap3 chip, an intake, exhaust and new plugs that can handle the extra boost they are running 400HP at the wheels on a dyno. That's around 440-450 crank HP. You are correct on the torque though, highest I have seen is around 670Nm. The race chip he's using gets higher numbers. I have the exact same car with most of these mods and my 0-60 is just about right at 4 seconds. AWD FTW.

honestly, not a big fan of reviews. though i guess it really depends on the car. review of porsche 3.0 rsr, citroen 2cv or 404 unimog? yeah, sure! review of sorta-cool-but-sorta-meh new car? i appreciate the work the behind it, but it's not for me. it's a modern, new car - of course it's gonna be at least ok in any aspect. plus, a car/vehicle that is a few decades old always has a few stories of ups and downs to tell from its life.
