Just press settings button for 10 sec or so and the volume is controllable by the computer or other device.

Since you asked, my go-to dongle is the Earmen Colibri, powered DAC/Amp. It doesn't take any power from the device you are listening to. Does the this Kensei Go Bar pull a lot of energy from the battery of the phone or tablet? Does it cause a noticeable battery drain?

Hi, for the volume you can sync it to your source(phone, pc) by pushing setting for 8s, and the same to disable then control it either from the source or the ifi bar.

Nice video bro. I have the original IFi Go Bar previously. I really like the XBASS+ function on Go Bar. I sold it off because i have the Luxury & Precision W2-ACG edition, which has more sound features to play with, although it does not equip with the XBASS+ & XSPACE. My current daily portable is Astell & Kern SE300 (R2R) DAP (Warm, analog, dynamic, bass power, sweet mids-vocal & smooth treble and well extended air) & I occasionally use LP W2-ACG dac (Highly balance of delta-sigma refined sound, especially in the treble extension).

How does the Davinci sound on this especially with the xbass feature on? How much distance does it close between it and bass head level iems?

Depend on how you'd categorize basshead level, if you're thinking scarlet mini bass level then no it doesnt quite reach there but it does add a bit more impact/slam/rumble to the davinci. Just makes it more fun and to me it already has a good mount of mid bass for that fuller and richer sound but the Kensei isn't going to boost it exponentially but there will be an audible difference

Why do iFi persist with these useless leather pouches? Most other manufacturers use leather sleeves which can stay on and protect the device from scratches 🤔😅

I think if they did a sleeve it would add to the heat. I think the pouch helps in terms of travelling though as it's got a nice place to store them when you're bringing the dongle around but I agree that it still need some "protection" as the flat side of the dongle is open to little scratches
