Palomar has the highest breaking strength very similar to this but easier

@@thomascallari8878 they show palomar knot second in this video. And you are correct. The in fisherman test gave it the highest grade for braided and nearly the highest for mono. With very thin mono (like 2 lb ice fishing line). It is important to lube the line a bit (spit) when tightening the knot or it curls and weakens the line significantly.

Its also the easiest knot to tie ever which is the real reason I started tying it. If I can tie it with 2 lb test mono through a pin sized hook eyelet in a dark ice house then it is the knot for me!

First is doubled blood or clinch knot and the second is a palomar knot you can also double a uni knot using the same method.

First knot is neither a blood knot nor a clinch knot. You dont pass the lure/swivel through a loop in a clinch. Blood knot is a knot to join two lines.

The second one is the Palomar I use it for all 3 knots. First on the leader to the swivel then the swivel to the main line then the hook, it needs to be done in that order to be able to use it at those 3 points.

this can also be used to create loops... just go one more time through the loop you created in the beggining and then pull on both ends... easy perfect little loop (may need some practise to get the correct sized loop) :)
